This is a simple mod that turns off the voice modulation effect when any character is using a Power Armor helmet. Useful for those who don't like it, or like my case, have a Creative card that causes all modulated dialog to become muted after a single word. List of helmets that had modulation removed: (Brotherhood/Outcast) Power Helmet Enclave Power Helmet Tesla Helmet T-51b Helmet Eyebot Helmet Crow's Eyebot Helmet Winterized T-51b Helmet (both versions) Filtration Helmet Supervisor Helmet Enclave Hellfire Helmet
I'm not aware of any power helmet-types added with Point Lookout, but I may be wrong. Please send a message or comment if I forgot any.
How to install: 1. Download and unrar to Fallout 3's "Data" directory. 2. Start the game launcher or FOMM, tick the box next to "helmetsoundfix.esp" 3. Play the game
How to uninstall: Delete "helmetsoundfix.esp"
Known issues/bugs As far as I know, none. It is very possible however, that this will not work with Power Armor added to the game through other mods. I'll try to find a more overall way to turn it off, rather than simply telling the helmets not to use it. So for now, you'll have to request the extra armor's authors for a modulation removal, or send me a message and I'll attempt to walk you through it.
