Okay, I started work on this back in the middle of March, and sometime around some time around the middle of April I had to put it on hold. Having been harassed by my colleagues to release what I had accomplished so far, here you go!

=== What is 'From the Ashes?' ===
From the Ashes is a quest mod for Fallout 3 that starts out when the Lone Wanderer accepts to run an errand for the Brotherhood of Steel to check out Vault 108's reactor level, and finds something unexpected. From there you'll explore the seedy ruins of a corporate Research and Development wing, a massive two tiered cavern, and military installations. The vague undertones of what went on in Vault 87 are the roots of the story, as the questions left unanswered have more sinister roots. A handful of new weapons and equipment await you, with two of the new items in particular having very unique uses.

=== What's completed? ===
The first three dungeons are all pretty much complete. Atmoshperic effects in, optimization is already in place, navmesh done, etc. Quest dialogue is mostly complete, but past the half way point will be inaccessible of course. Three of the new weapons are in, and a small handful of other random equipment. The entire experience is leveled, although you need access to the Citadel to start it, and trying below lv12 may prove rather difficult, but doable.

=== What's incomplete? ===
Dungeons 4 and 5 are incomplete and inaccessible. Voice work is not included, as it's only partially done. The two boss fights are not active, they are just straight forward kills currently. When I get a chance to return to work, the next release will have them in full functioning order as unique encounters. And lastly, all new textures required are not yet finished, but this is only noticeable if you flip the bodies over in first dungeon.(the other new stuff needed is the inaccessible dungeons) Any other minor environmental tweaks for flavor that I may decide to add.

=== How far can I get? ===
Again, it's half complete. The first three dungeons are there. The first is fairly short, but contains the first boss. The second is a bit longer and requires some exploring to complete. Both of these are locked if you aren't on the quest. The third is fairly large, in two distinct parts. It's open from the get go and actually has the NPCs you find later there, so as not to break the illusion. :p

=== Known Issues ===
In the third dungeon (Noxious Lair) there is to minor snags that can appear, neither will effect your game. First is there is an unusual bug with light reflection on the water, no idea of the cause. Second is during the quest events within, sometimes the one of the spawned corpses will be floating. Bug is random and still tracking source.

=== Installation ===
Just drop the data folder from the RAR into your FO3 installation, it'll do the rest.

=== Do I need any DLC? ===
None whatsoever. The only thing any DLC will change is Broken Steel will make it harder, as it is a leveled experience. You will run into the new Broken Steel monsters along the way if you're high enough level, and the albino radscorps are MEAN.

=== Final Thoughts ===
If you like what you see here, feel free to endorse or vote for it. The better overall reception it gets, the more motivated to finish my work I'll be. And once I finish, I'll go right into work on my next bigger project, Grognak's Adventure.
