About this mod

A set of default eye replacements based on actual photography, giving characters a more life-like look.

###### Now compatible with Throttlekitty's Eyelashes! ######

What is this?
These new eye textures are 1024x1024, based on close-up photography. Such a resolution might seem overkill, but since I play the game at 2560x1600, I really notice the difference in quality between 1024x1024 and 512x512.

Each eye is unique - this was not merely done by altering the hue, saturation and contrast of one single eye texture. They actually look different.

Latest Update : v1.2
Further convergence issues fixed.

Added 9 more eye colours, based on closeup shots. Please note that I am trying to keep eye colours as realistic as possible. The following colours are now available :
  • Amber - rare colour
  • Blue Green - aquamarine - rare
  • Blue Violet - very rare - 20 known cases in the world
  • Brown - an extra shade missing from the game
  • Labradorite - green with brown ring
  • Light Grey Brown - grey with brown ring
  • Olive Green
  • Steel Grey
  • Albino Pink - for those who make afflicted characters

Files Included
  • Sparking Eyes Default Replacement Only: For those who only require the basic 4 colours in high-resolution.
  • Sparkling Eyes Full: For those who want the extra 9 eye colour variations.
  • Sparkling Eyes for YoshikinaKota HairPack Fix for MMM: The title couldn't be more clear. Please note that you need YoshikinaKota's HairPack Fix for MMM to use this file, as it uses HairPack.esm as a master file. Download the Full Version of Sparkling Eyes first, then overwrite Sparkling Eyes.esp with the ESP from this fix. Thanks to Saxster for this.
  • Sparkling Eyes - ThrottleKitty Eyelashes - Hairpack Fix for MMM: This file allows for the use of Sparkling Eyes, Throttlekitty's Eyelashes AND YoshikinaKota's HairPack Fix for MMM!

The Future?
Despite so many eye colour variations, all NPCs are desperately stuck with the standard 4 colours. I'd love to change some of them to include more variations of green, blue, brown, etc... But that's a lot of work. I'm not sure about this.

If there is a colour in high demand, I'll do my best to find and shoot a close-up of said eye colour - if I manage to find someone with that particular tone.

Anything Else?
Check out the showcase screenshot, along with the example LOD screenshot of in-game eyes.

I am always welcoming feedback. Thanks to everyone who has provided me with helpful insight.

Cheers,

AntoniusMaximus.
