News!

The WIP of V2 is now available for download, adding Tau, Chaos, SOB & Tyranids to the wasteland.

It is more than playable, in fact the only reason its still WIP is because the Tau are currently wearing Enclave armour, and SOB are still female space marines without helmets. Other than that its complete.

For people who haven't played V1, this mod attempts to add enemies who are challenging in unconventional ways to the wasteland. Adding five new and competing factions & lots of new armour & weapons specific to them. The new factions will call in vertibird bombing runs to aid them, Sergeants might call in re-inforcements, Tyranids will hide, regenerate, then come back at you (And some might just get back up again when you kill them).

This mod is for people who would like a real challenge in the wasteland, if you dont, dont use this mod, or at least dont complain that they are overpowered. (Although feedback on their frequency would be usefull, im not sure if i've made them spawn too often or not).

Please post if I left a texture or something out, I have tried not to miss any but there are quite a few with this version (And because of this, you do not require any other mods to run this anymore)!

Story for V2:

Four months ago, an unobtanium-goldium deposit was detected somewhere in the DC region on Earth. Within a week, a Space Marine fleet was in orbit, and sent a large number of troops to the surface to begin the search, they met with little resistance from local forces and started to lock-down the wasteland.

Three days later, a Tyranid hive fleet arrived, amidst the space battle which ensued between them and the marines, Chaos forces saw an opportunity and opened a rift in the center of the battle and poured out. The battle raged for days whilst Chaos forces secretly transported to the surface to grab the unobtanium-goldium in the confusion, but before it could be located the battle was over leaving a wounded Tyranid hive fleet in orbit.

The hive fleet began preparing to devour the planet (Thus negating a need to search for the unobtanium-goldium) and sent down a small scout force to the surface. Before the hive fleet could start eating (as it also needed some time to heal) a Tau fleet arrived, alongside an SOB one, and although a few transport ships of theirs managed to get to the surface their fleet was destroyed in a final kamikaze against the hive fleet, leaving the hive dead in space.

The few tyranids which did get to the surface were unable to begin the devouring process without the hive fleets aid due to the unexpectedly high levels of radiation on the planet, and so joined the battle to controll the DC region whilst re-inforcements were on route for all five factions.

Can the locals wrestle back controll over their planet while the other factions fight amongst themselves?

This version is different from the previous one in that battles you will observe as you roam the wasteland will often be much larger, and have more than two factions involved. Although (still being a WIP) some of the new factions abilities and weapons are not yet balanced perfectly, it is more than enjoyable to play.

Good luck!

Please report any bugs / lack of files, and please endorse if you enjoy it, thankyou.

Also, do not hold any Illusions that I created this mod in its entirety, credits go out to Amstrad, sparky84, Andersh, DaiShiHUN, J3X, and cerberos008, this mod would not be possible without their textures & models & scripts.

And finally a few ego-feeding quotes if you still are undecided as to whether or not to download this. Bear in mind these are in reference to V1.

"Hey man, i'm not gonna rate yet cuz i think the mod has a lot of potential"

I hope the new version starts fulfilling that potential.
