For me, the mod keeps crashing my game in a spot near Megaton, where you are in the direction of heading towards DC. I dont know why, but its mainly this mod thats causing it. Does anyone have this same problem and knows how to fix it?

Same exact issue here. Freezes in the center of Megaton, right next to Cromwell in the puddle.

I spend an hour earlier today turning mods off and on in groups to determine which was the cause, and sure enough... it is this mod LOL

I'll write back if I find a solution

Update-- still crashed, but just at a different location. I ended up just uninstalling and using another weather mod.

Ok! What fixed it for me was to:

      - Uninstall "RECCOMANDED Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow v2 hotfix b Fomod Package- FULL DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ELSE"

      - Install "Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow v2 Full"

      - Install the hotfix "V2 Hotfix"

And that stopped the megaton crash for me and weather continues to work
... unsure if that'll break long-term, as it seems they didn't add the hotfix v2 ver B as a separate download. Guess we'll find out tho :P

can someone edit this mod to stop it from being brighter when it rains at night ? i love the dark nights but each time it rains at night it start getting almost as clear as vanilla nights. i tested a bit with my mods compatibility and it seems to be coming directly from this mod. also this moon is giganormously big and the skybox is weird, if only i could use the snow, rain and storm with the fellout darkness thats would be amazing, this mod is really good but i cannot use it because of the brighness of rainy nights...

You should try Xepha's Dynamic Weather mod. It even has plug-ins for the rain portion of this mod. The sky doesn't get lighter either, when it rains. Plus there are a butt load of different weather types to make things interesting. You have to manually install the mod, but it's pretty simple.  FYI: This mod is no longer actively updated, so begging for help with it is pointless. I believe this mod was developed to be used with the game's vanilla climate. That's why when it rains, the sky gets like the vanilla night sky. You said it yourself. They also make mods to reduce and in large the size of the moon. You could even replace the moon, or just remove this mod's big fat moon and the vanilla moon will return. It's in the sky folder of the game's data/textures directory. Good luck.

idk if its just me, but it constantly rains, and with it comes radiation. at this point all this mod does is turn the capital wasteland into the glowing sea. If you were looking for more of an ambient mod instead of a difficulty increasing gameplay mod, then this mod isnt for you. if you dont mind the gameplay changes, then remember to stock up on rad X and rad away, because you'll need a ton of it if you use this mod. btw I know theres a workaround with the rads in the description. download link doesn't work anymore

This is uncalled for. #1 , the rad rain plugin controls that separately so just delete that plugin and no more rad rain will be present in the game.
This mod is the baseline mod everyone else built upon. It's required by several mods. User error is not an excuse to slam a mod.
you download the package manually and extract the contents delete the rad rain plug in and repack it in a zip file then install it.
the installer also gives you that choice to omit that aspect of the mod. Again, user error. not the mod's fault.

For those that still have radiation bug in their system ( +1 meter when no rain/snow) I have tried a method that works for me and hopefully works for yours too.

    1. First of all I have tried many ways to fix this issue. I had tried the waiting rain to stop and save method. Tried player.resurrect and player.dispelallspells. none of them works. Make sure you had tried all of this method to reject every possible method.
    2. If none of that works, lets get started on what method I do. First, uninstall all previous enhanced weather mod(this mod). Reinstall only this mod - RECCOMANDED Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow v2 hotfix b Fomod Package- FULL DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ELSE, and be sure that radiation plugin check.
    3. Next, install Enhanced Weather - Radioactive Rain Fix mod. When prompt to overwrite you pick "Yes to all" option.
    4. Start the game, and choose older saves. If you're lucky enough the saves is not in rain/snow yet. The gauge meter should disappear.
    5. Quickly, press F5 for quicksave. enjoy the game, the bug is fixed and quickly remove this crappy mod.
p/s : If you pick recent saves, the bug probably still there.

Hope this method works thank you...

Yeah had to do steps 2-5 and loaded an earlier save, luckily it wasn't too far behind since I just installed this mod. Think I'm done installing mods for this game, I came back to it after about a year or so of not playing it so it's time to just finish it with the mods I have. Thanks for the information, very much appreciated.

Adding or removing mods mid-playthrough is never good modding practice. I usually spend hours putting together, and testing a load order prior to starting a game. If you are using a mod manager you can simply de-select the *Enhanced Weather - Radiative Rain and Snow Plugin.esp* then you will never experience radioactive rain or snow.

Hey, so I'm having an issue where trying to reinstall the main file - The one that says don't download any others - Gives me the "vortex was not able to run the installer in a secure sandbox" error.
I've downloaded the other files to test them and they seem fine. Downloading this for the first time was fine. I just wanted to make it so the storms don't cause radiation damage cause the ticking sound is annoying- Any suggestions?

[Edit] Also please don't tell me to manually install it, I tried that as well and it CTD-ed.

If you're having problems with just that file but all the others work, then just use the first one (the 7z package) along with the update (V2 Hotfix). Those are the only ones I use anyway as I manually mod (but then use FOMM for activation & load order management), and it works fine so you're doing something not quite right if manual fails. But I'd imagine you should also be able to use those two files via a mod manager. Good luck.

Use the performance sounds to lessen the FPS hit when storms start, and the in-game setting via pipboy to tweak frequency of weather - but I wish there was a way to disable the heavier weather and just have the lighter stuff and the snow. There is also a tweak submod Anti-CPU Stress For Enhanced Weather which you can try if you get any stutter/lag when stormier weather hits.

Cool, but the bugs with loading a save are annoying and too immersion-breaking.

I though this mod makes the nights darker? The nights are the same brightness as vanilla

Any way to reduce the frequency? Rains constantly. Should be like once or twice per in-game week at most.

Good and bad. Makes the nights darker even with pitch black disabled.
