Late but additional info: for TTW you need to rename the huntingrifle.dds and 1stpersonhuntingrifle to 32huntingrifle.dds and 1stperson32huntingrifle.dds respectively under textures/weapons/2handrifle otherwise the .32 hunting rifle won't change texture
Hi, i'd really like to play fallout with this mod..but i've got a problem, i use FOMM to mod my game, but i can't apply this mod to FO3..can anyone explain me what i have to do to apply this mod?
First, get a program to extract the mod such as winrar or 7zip.
Then just copy and paste the meshes and textures folders from the mod into the fallout 3 data folder.
Also if there is an ESP/ESM file with the mod just put that into the data folder too.
Then open FOMM and activate the ESP file if there is one and also while in FOMM click on the tools tab and make sure Archive Invalidated is checked if it is not the texture replacer WILL NOT WORK.
More people probably use FOMM over MO and NMM combined, honestly. There's no reason not to. There's also some mods that require FOMM for installation and aren't compatible with NMM...
MO is superior to all the other mod managers. It does have a higher learning curve but there's so much more you can do with it. Tennis, who created MO has joined Nexus to create an entirely new version that will replace MO and NMM. Hopefully it takes the best from both.
Hi i see no difference. i have epic games version. i have copied data folder and archivation txt file to fallout 3 folder folder, but it seems it doesnt work
Yeah the "obsolete" thing is very confusing. Are you telling us not to install this mod? I searched for version 3.1... nothing. What's actually going on with this?
This here mod is quite old, the site has changed vastly in the past 14 years, many improvements including old files section and several of those tabs on the main description, were added since this was last updated.
Really nice mod, my only 2 gripes are that the assault rifles (my favourite weapons) are not true to their original form, I'd much rather prefer their original color schemes and textures just made more HD like with all other weapons and that it isn't compatible with WMK (it is, but after you apply modifications the modified weapons use the vanilla skins)
The original handle's texture is still wood. It's just supposed to be the effects of radiation. The one in the Anchorage DLC shows that the handle's made out of wood too.
If anyone wants a high-res texture with a metal handle, you can try ChristopherWallace's: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21137
I'm guessing they were thinking about the memory limitations of the consoles where they sell roughly 86% of their games and the limited video memory of said consoles. This game was released in 2008, not a couple months ago.
