Reworking warhammer 40k laser (with permission of originator) into multiple versions. New textures applied and NIF files edited to (hopefully) point to dds files.

NOTE: V4 is intended to change the look to the lasers in FNV and correct the non-hit outside of VATS for some of the weapons. TWO (2) esp files are included .. USE ONLY ONE OF THEM .. that are implemented as below:

1. 40K Laser1 has the projectiles for the weapons changed to the standard ones in the game. This means that the esplosive effects of the beams are not available.

2. 40K Laser1alt has the non-std beams used with some tweaks made to them to attempt to correct the non-hit issues. If this does not work please comment or send me a PM so can look at and try another approach.

INATALL: As for other jsut copy into the DATA folder and allow to overwrite when asked. For some the textures may be in a different folder (textures\lasgun1) for this version.

Introduction

With v3+ this mod now adds 'ten' new 40K Laser Rifles, the new one being Chaos and Grey replaced with the Griffon. The rifles are scattered throughout the wasteland in cases for you to find .. if need hints check out the images provided. Each rifle is slightly different then the other, so you are encouraged to test fire them 1st.

All use Microfusion cells and can repair each other, also normal laser weapons may repair them along with some other items scattered in the wastes. The Form ID are as follow:

Note: There is an alternate Chaos dds file included for those that may not like the Chaos weapon having the same body as the normal lasers. It is Laz-Cadian-Chrb, to use just change it to -Chr in the '40ktype' folder (under lasgun in textures).

Installation

Unpack the esp along with the Meshes and Texture folders into your Fallout 3\ directory and check the esp either in Data Files when you run the Fallout 3 Launcher or in FOMM.

If have not already edited your My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\FALLOUT.INI recommend you do so now:

Under [Archives], change the following line:

bInvalidateOlderFiles=0

To:

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

Alternately (and should be done if you're using mods at all), you can install:

Known Issues/Bugs

None known (crossing fingers here, again) at this time.

If you discover a bug or have an issue with the mod, please let me know. I believe I've added all the textures and meshes needed (this time), but we all know how checklists work, not. Please let me know if something doesn't work so I can correct.

You may use/change/incorporate as desire but give credit to those I have indicated above.

Future Plans

Add a few more weapons and improve a couple not to happy with. If any groups want added let me know and will try.
(Note: Left in some of the base dds files so if want to place your own emblems on them go right ahead.)
