What I would like to see is for the view to be centered when the weapon is holstered and switch back to over the shoulder and zoom in slightly when weapon is drawn, like in Mass Effect.

This mod's purpose is NOT to enhance playability in 3rd person mode, which is, frankly, terrible as-is: instead, it seeks to repair its function as a 'mirror' of sorts that allows you to look at your character from a third person perspective without that bothersome angle. This makes it even worse as far as playing the game is concerned, but I, and many others, play the game entirely in first person mode.

Useful for looking at your character, but it does make third person impossible to play with. (Which is fine, I don't play in it much anyway.)

Now if only there were a way to control the offset via menu, or if there were hotkeys to switch between center, right and left views. But that's out of our league for now.

If the camera was instead raised UP a few feet, so you could still see the crosshair over top of the character's head, then maybe this'd be a good mod.

As it sits, this mod makes a bad 3rd person perspective even worse.

I understand that this was a request, but who requests to have the third person camera become useless? That is why it's "over the shoulder" so you can actually SEE what you are aiming at. Of course, the irony being that people COMPLAINED about Oblivion's third person camera because you couldn't actually see what you were swinging your weapon at/throwing spells at/shooting arrows at.
