This is a Gauss coil rifle that uses magnetic coils to accelerate a BB sized pellet to over 6000 feet per second. Despite it's small mass the projectile penetrates even power armor like it's wet cardboard. This is a rare and priceless weapon..
I love fallout 2's Gauss weapons. I mean LOVE. This is my try in re-creating that love.
I'm sorry Gauss weapons are small arms. Not an energy weapon! Therefore, this weapon is a small arms weapon.
FO2's Gauss rifle had a 20 shot clip. I couldn't make this one have that huge of a clip. This one has a 5 shot clip for the sake of balance.
This rifle has twice the base accuracy.
It has no mussel flash; there's no gun power so no flash.
It will knock enemies on their ass most of the time. Okay, not so much knock on their ass, as send them flying 3-4 feet.
No more stupid explosion on impact. Just a BB in one side and out the other.
Because of it's extreme velocity the Gauss ignores armor completely. Enclave power armor is now paper armor.
Also there is a secrete hidden side effect.
Rarely an Enclave may have one of these.
Sorry, requires Operation Anchorage, otherwise I'd probably get myself into trouble.
