I think it is not so easy to make, hence the modder do not made it. Oblivion has the same problem, PC and NPCs has different speeds, and when you use a companion mod, they follow you in a funny way to maintain the distance. Recently was published an Oblivion mod called "Zek's Universal Movement Speed" that makes PC and NPCs move to the same speed. That could be the solution for this problem in FO3, if it were applied here in some way.
Worked like a charm! I know have a reason to turn my back and run if I need to put some space between me and the enemy. It's made my fights against melee opponents much more dynamic and tactical.
Hi, I like your mod for Fallout 3 - "Slower backpedaling". I want to use it, but I prefer if all the NPC are all affected with it, not only me. They tend to run backwards often at full speed, which puts the player in uneven position. So, I would ask, because you mentioned it in the mod's topic that ypu consider to make it work for all the npcs. Did you do it?
Love the Mod...do have a suggestion/critisism tho.
I use the agility option to calculate my backpedal cuz I like the idea that a more agile person would be better able to move backward without tripping over themselves, rocks, debris, what-have-you. And I just dont like a flat rate of 50% backpedalspeed, as I improve so shall my movement, it's the RPG way.
Anyway, In your calculation as soon as I reach 8 agility I move backward without any penalty. I feel even the most agile person would still be unable to move in reverse as fast as they can move forward. My suggestion is to simply change your multiplier to 7 instead of 10.
Doing so will result is a backpedal speed of -73% at 1 agility instead of -70%, -52% at 4 agility instead of -40%, -24% at 8 agility instead of 0%, and at 10 agility there is still a small reduction in backpedalspeed of -10%.
Thats how I modified your formula for my game. Seems better to me but that is of course just my opinion.
