About this mod

Changes primary weapons for three of the weakest companions.

Permissions and credits
Installation: Place file into Fallout3\data\ and enable through mod selection window.

Clover upgraded from sawed off shotgun to 10mm submachine gun.
Star Paladin Cross upgraded from laser pistol, to laser rifle.
Butch upgraded from 10mm pistol to 44 magnum.

Just like their "normal" primary weapons, you cannot take it from them, and they will never need to be given ammo.

If you are using a mod that changes any of these three companions, it will conflict. In that instance, you will have to load the mod that already changes the companion, and give them a new primary weapon (it's easier than you might think). A quick rundown of what you will need to do:

Double click the weapon you want to give them, change the ID to something unique, uncheck the "playable" check box (IMPORTANT!). Change the ammo type it uses to "robot" (for instance, MicroFusionCells, to MicroFusionCellsrobot). If there is no robot version of the ammo, just use 556mmrobot, and hit okay. You now have a unique weapon that uses infinite robot type ammo!

Double click on the companion npc, go to inventory, remove their current range weapon, and drag one stack of the robot ammo the gun will be using, and the unique weapon.

And you're done.
