    Eleven... Years... Later...
    ------

Hey! Finally playing thru FO3 while waiting on a few new FO4 mods to get released (FO Miami, Ivy 6.0, etc), had to try this one out!

Love it! Endorsed & Voted! :)

Thanks for the sound clips & assorted easter eggs!

Thanks for the praise. I just wish I had time to work on this stuff again...I had all kinds of plans for expanding and upgrading this mod, and still have all my notes, just not enough free time to sit down and work on it.

They are cursed... (you can use the console "~" to remove them if you must)

WoW love this idea have not tried it as of yet downloading as right now (11:33 a.m. 6-20-2019). Will be back to endorse as soon as I can love the Evil Dead 1-all Bruce Campbell was so good awesome the fact the first one was supposed to be a serious horror movie that started a cult classic is so cool.

    Hey,

just stumbled over this here mod, and was amazed I did not find it earlier. Was even more amazed to see rather recent comments on - from the original author! Like so many, I was VEEERY disappointed after scouring those ruins for hours without finding a book (or rather, THE book, right), so this is a MUST to test out. I'm a huge Lovecraft fan, but even though I had the game for a while, I am truly exploring FO3 now for the first time (wouldn't work well enough on my last 2 PCs, even with all them fixins, thhen I got hooked on Wasteland 2). And to support a claim from a very old post of yours: Bethesda could have put the darned book in FO3 without paying a green fthagn to anyone, Lovecraft's work is in the public domain. Project Gutenberg for example has all of his works available online.

So, I reeealy want to try this out, and I am probably going to in any case, but what I was wondering though:
1st, I read in the comments that the skeletons bleed. If they do, are they affected by the dartgun? Would kinda ruin the immersion a bit, especially with my beloved PCP-Dartgun from the BetterLivingThroughChems mod, but not enough to keep me from trying this out, just wanted to know beforehand, so I can leave the dartgun at home to not ruin the challenge...
2nd, is it safe to install on current playthrough, if you have already been to Dunwich? Went there to test the Ghoul Mask from Roy, grabbed 2 or 3 easy to find holos, snagged the bobblehead, left again without killing any ghoulies. If thats a no-go, would it be enough to remove the holos from my pipboy via console, then install? I read something about the holos being changed in the mod, so I'm hoping that installing it will create the now missing holotapes anew in the Dunwich cell...
3rd, will the Ghoul Mask still fool the Ghouls, even if the Skeletons attack you? Or are those Ghouls in Dunwich smart enough to see through that ugly-azz dizguize with your mod^^ (kinda hoping for it)?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for the mod from fellow Lovecraft fan,
    IrieMK

By the way, a must for all Lovecraft fans, one I share with all I find: http://www.goominet.com/unspeakable-vault/

Just played your mod today as I had to take the Krivbeknih book to the obelisc beneath the Dunwich building. I had so much fun!!.It was like living a Lovecraft nightmare. Every second I enjoyed! In case you ask yourself why I am playing FO3 2018.... I don't know, but I love it.
So thank you for your gift! Very much liked this little mod.
Have to sell the Necronomicon though..

Great mod. Worked perfectly. Lots of enemies - old and new. Not too long, not too short. No stupid clues to find or irritating puzzles to solve: just lots of killin'. And a Final Boss at the end to test your mettle. Classic gaming.

Thanks...that is a great way to describe the spirit of the mod...the original building already had the intrigue...I mostly just wanted to fight some deadites.

I have to say you summarised my feelings about this mod as well. Lots of nice work put in, and lovingly expands the Lovecraft connection that perhaps Bethesda meant to expand on.

I like this mod, being fan of evil dead myself, still, i think you could make some "extended" version merging it with the dlc quest of point lookout. For example put one book (and not three and all on the same spot), maybe stolen and taken to point lookout and so you have to retrieve it (using the normal quest of the kirva..whatever) and destroying inside the dunwich etc..

I have notes and some WIP stuff stashed away for further expansion of this mod...Don't hold your breath though...my plans and intentions typically don't jive with what life likes to throw at me.

Coming back to FO3 after years, I might try this out since I've recently become very interested in Lovecraft and was always an Evil Dead fan (more Bruce Campbell really, but you know). Anyway, my thought reading the description was that leaving the book out may have actually been a reference to the "debate" over the Necronomicons existence. Lovecraft always said he made it up, and tons of people swear it really exists, I believe there may have been a Sumerian text called the book of the dead, and one called the book of the living, but probably otherwise unconnected to the Great Old Ones, Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Yog Sothoth, the Priest not-to-be-described, etc.

Some say it was written by egyptians... It could be like zombies though, the kind of thing that humans always feared, but that has and will never exist..
