Early 2023, I remember playing this mod in 2012, right after I started to look for quest mods in Fallout 3 Russian modding scene. If you foreign, you likely missed that some russian modders produce very good new quests like Assassin mod, Commonwealth before the release of Fallout 4 and also this iteration of Vault 74. This mod is an instant classic from golden era of Fallout 3 mods which will give you a good script adventure with some horror elements. Nothing particularly groundbreaking but stable and polished nonetheless. Should you try this mod in 2023? If you are looking for another "vault dungeon" with some scripted screamers and deathclaws - yes, you really should try this mod.
The mod is great, but there some things I want to notice: 1. Deathclaws should be a liitle bit smaller, because sometimes they simply stuck at the doors and/or teleporting. 2. Project Purity pipe you need to be in during the main questline, is bugged.
Still the most awesome Vault 74 mod! The mood is perfect for playing late at night - the music and sounds will require diapers. One suggestion to players - have a DAMN GOOD gun before you go. I took a .50 caliber sniper rifle.
Great mod. Seems to be really, really unstable though, and I'm running just this mod to be sure it wasn't a conflict. I had issues like:
- Crashing when entering Vault Sewers area while having the custom weapon (Colt Anaconda) equipped - Saving while in the Labs area made the game crash - Entering the second sewer grate after having entered the labs - Looking at a Deathclaw wro- oh wait that's just me
Quite enjoyable. It appears to be ESL on this mod, so you're forewarned. I liked the quest - and the quest markers when I got confused - and the three sets of stories within it. All items needed for the quest puzzles are within the rooms you've access to; you'll need to hunt. The sound effects were great, and I got a good jump scare at one point.
I have no idea how to open the doors. One of the holotapes said to slot fission batteries into a control panel, but I've no idea if they're on about a specific control panel or the ones just by the side of the door. Does anybody have any idea what to do?
Well I've been a member here for 4 years now and your mod is actually the first I want to comment on. I will just make a short list below please enjoy. 1. I absolutely love how you make this vault fit into seamlessly. 2. There where times I was genuinely scared. 3. Having a sense of where death claw's from has always plagued my mind but you answered it the most logically reason how. 4. The overall difficulty and getting out vault 74 was hard, but well worth the effort at the end. You have my endorsement.
