About this mod

Fixes flickering multicolored squares appear Fallout 3 Intel HD Bypass on Intel Graphics card or DXVK rendering with other cards. Allows enabling HDR screen effect + Antialiasing + Water Refraction, Bloom same time.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This mod addresses a common graphical issue in Fallout 3 experienced when using DXVK Vulkan rendering, Intel graphics cards (including newer Arc Graphics models from 2024), Fallout 3 Intel HD Bypass fix or some NVIDIA/AMD Radeon card setups.

The problem appear when both Antialiasing and the HDR screen effect are enabled same time. Instead of the expected visual effects for impacts after shooting NPCs with ballistic or energy weapons (such as smoke, vapor, wounds, or blood splatter), flickering multicolored squares appear.

- Features:

  • Allows simultaneous enabling of HDR screen effect and Antialiasing, Water Refraction, Bloom when using Vulkan (DXVK) rendering.
  • Provides a solution for users where ENB mods are not working correctly (e.g., texture issues, incorrect rendering, performance problems, poor antialiasing) or have issues with water refractions on certain graphics cards.
  • Offers an alternative for those who prefer not to install custom shader loaders or additional mods.
  • It works properly with any other postprocessing, lights, HDR mod etc.
- How it Works:

This mod replaces the original shader package with a modified shader file where the rendering error has been corrected. It's based on a shader mod from the "Blood Decal Flashing Fix" for New Vegas by WallSoGB, I just adapted his code for Fallout 3. This package-replacement approach avoids the need for custom shader loaders, like ENB, ReShade you just need package invalidator.

- Installation:

Method 1. Install this mod as you would normally by FOMM (install mod manager)
Method 2. Install package invalidator, and manually replace files in your Data/Shaders folder.

- Notice: You also may need, clear your shader cache just clear folder %LocalAppData%\d3dcache. If the flickering squares persist, use ENB mod.

This mod has been tested and confirmed to resolve the issue on Intel HD Graphics, Arc Graphics cards.
