About this mod

Gangs of the Wasteland is one of the best Raider overhauls ever, but unfortunately it was created for Fallout Wanderers Edition. The weapons are grossly overpowered in non-FWE playthroughs, which breaks immersion. My patch aims to address this oversight, and makes it more usable for purists. It just replaces the master plugin - nothing else.

Okay, so to get to the point; there are four unique weapons added by Gangs of the Wasteland, although they all use pre-existing assets. For example, the 5mm Assault Rifle is just a standard G3 assault rile that fires 5mm ammo. So there are no cosmetic differences between these unique weapons and the ones already existing in the Capital Wasteland.
In case you're still confused, these weapons are not replacements - they are unique leveled items that become part of the raider arsenal.

I rebalanced their stats, but didn't want to make them exactly the same as their "default" counterparts, since the mod author intended for these weapons to be unique:
The Impaler has slightly lower damage output than a standard Railway Rifle, but it can carry more ammo and weighs less. I reduced the attack damage further, from 28 to 15, and raised the weight to 10, since the Impaler can shoot 4 railway spikes at a time. That's a massive advantage over standard railway rifles, which can only shoot one railway spike, at a base attack of 30.
The 308 "Shrouded" Rifle is a hunting rifle that can shoot (you guessed it) .308 ammo. It has the same attack damage as a normal sniper rifle, but with a larger ammo clip. Sniper rifles have scopes though, so it's a fair compromise.
The 5mm Assault Rifle is slightly more powerful than a standard G3 rifle, but its clip is smaller as well, and it weighs a little more.
The 5mm Submachine gun is slightly more powerful than a standard 10mm submachine gun, but slightly weaker than Sydney's unique variant. I also changed the animation type back to the default 1 handed style, since the submachine guns look goofy when being gripped with two hands.

This is just a patch, and it requires that you already have Gangs of the Wasteland installed. If you have iron Sight Plus installed, these weapons will use the sighting nodes automatically. And no, FWE is not recommended.

One last thing, I didn't touch the unique armors. After checking, I saw that their stats looked okay. There was nothing out of the ordinary. But hit me up in the comments if something bugs you.
