This does not fix the CTD that some people experience, however I have found that if you close the Pip-boy after adding your new cookbooks to the all-in-one Cookbook from Recipe Menu Compatibility, it will not crash. The Cookbook needs to be updated and registered in your inventory, so closing and re-opening your inventory might prevent the CTD.
