Changed a few weapon names to be more lore-friendly
Skill-Based Weapon Names is a really simple and immersive mod that dynamically changes the names of practically all weapons in the game, with the names being determined by the player's relevant skills (Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Weapons, Explosives). The names are basically split into 3 tiers and their thresholds are the same for all three weapon skills. When your relevant skill is lower than 25, in most cases you'll only be getting the most basic name of weapons (like "pistol", "rifle", "energy weapon", "grenade", etc.), then from 25 to 75 you'll be getting a more descriptive name (basically just the vanilla name for the majority of weapons, like 10mm Pistol, Laser Pistol, Frag Grenade, etc.) and once your skill reaches 75 or more, you will be getting the actual name for all weapons (N99 Sidearm, AEP7, Winchester P97, etc.). But as you probably know, there are many weapons in the game that aren't real and don't have a proper name in lore, so I had to get a little creative. For the weapons that fall into this "nameless" category, I ended up either giving them the name of the most similair IRL weapon or I just straight up invented a name that sounds somewhat lore friendly.
TL;DR: Weapon names change based on your Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Weapons and Explosives skills. At low levels you get the most basic names like "pistol", and at the highest level you get proper weapon names like "N99 Sidearm".
Scripted Implemenation - All of the name changes are done with a script, so no vanilla records are affected and the mod is compatible with literally everything
Immersive - It wouldn't make much sense for your character to instantly recognize all weapons for what they are if their skill with guns is close to non-existent, so this mod give you a whole new layer of immersion
Lore-friendly - All weapon names are lore friendly. But if you disagree or if you think of a more suitable name for any of the weapons included in this mod, please let me know!
Compatibility This mod shouldn't have any serious compatibility issues with anything as it doesn't directly edit the weapon records and everything is done with a very simple script, but with that being said, weapons added by other mods won't have their names changed out of the box and will need to be patched. I might patch some mods if there's actual demand for it.
