About this mod

Changes the Wasteland Survival Guide to grant a bonus to the player as long as it is carried, depending on how well the quest was done.

Permissions and credits
IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED THE WASTELAND LAND SURVIVAL GUIDE QUEST BEFORE INSTALLING THIS MOD - THE SCRIPT WILL AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE THE BOOK FOR YOU.

NEW IN VERSION 1.2 FINAL:
Version 1.2 fixes a minor scripting bug and adds two variants of the mod: one generalized version, and one specialized version. Taking into consideration feedback on the effects of the guide on the player, both versions use the same scripting and such, but bestow different effects upon the player. The generalized version is the one that has been used in version 1.0 and 1.1, and the specialized version is a new alternative. In a nut shell, the generalized version adds to one SPECIAL stat and all skills by a minor amount, whereas the specialized version focuses on one or two in particular to enhance by a greater amount. Their exact stats are listed below. HOWEVER, CHOOSE ONLY ONE TO USE.

Description
===========
This simple but effective mod changes the Wasteland Survival Guide to be not just a miscellaneous item that is little more than a trophy for completing the lengthy quest of the same name, but grants benefits proportionate to the effort put into writing it (not unlike the Survival Junior/Expert/Guru perks), as long as it is carried by the player.

Location
========
You'll receive a copy of the Wasteland Survival Guide, tailored to grant bonuses depending on how many optional objectives you completed and how you responded to Moira's questions, at the end of the quest, instead of the normal copy in the vanilla version that did absolutely nothing.

New in version 1.1, WSG Improved will now update your old guide to the appropriate version if you'd already completed the quest prior to installing this mod. Merely have the guide in your inventory, and in a few seconds, the old one will be removed and the new one added. However, please note that in the interest of balance, the script will only do this once - so if you obtain another vanilla copy from, say, the wastelander random event, it will stay as a normal guide to avoid stacking effects.

Finally, version 1.2 - the final update, for all intents and purposes - fixes a minor scripting bug and adds two variants of the mod: one generalized version, and one specialized version. Taking into consideration feedback on the effects of the guide on the player, both versions use the same scripting and such, but bestow different effects upon the player. The generalized version is the one that has been used in version 1.0 and 1.1, and the specialized version is a new alternative. In a nut shell, the generalized version adds simply adds to one SPECIAL stat and all skills by a minor amount, and the specialized version does just that - focusing on one or two in particular to enhance in a greater amount. Their exact stats are listed below. HOWEVER, CHOOSE ONLY ONE TO USE.

Thanks to Bethesda for creating Fallout 3.
Thanks to Fallout3Nexus.com for being just plain awesome.
Thanks to LHammonds for the Readme Generator this file was based on.
A super friend special thanks to CliffWorms for granting me the honor of working on his Black Horse Courier Expanded project for TES IV: Oblivion, and KingKasai for spotting an error in my scripting that I did not. Both are very talented modders working on Oblivion and Fallout 3, respectively, so be sure to check out their WIPz!
And finally, to you, for reading this whole terrible, disjointed thing. I'm surprised you made it this far. Here, have a fishy stick, I insist.
