Changes the firing dialogue when you dismiss companions to make them less whiney and make you more polite.

Another tiny mod to make the player more kind, this time to their companions. Instead of being rude and bossy the player will politely tell them "It's time for us to part ways." Companions will also be less butthurt, such as the tantrum Butch throws when you fire him about how nobody fires him and he fires you instead. This does require Broken Steel (which honestly you should have by now anyway) so you can still choose to have Dogmeat have puppies.
The following dialogue lines were changed:
Butch
Player (Before): "Get lost, Butch. You're fired."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Butch (Before): "You can't fire me! I'm the boss of this gang! And I say you're fired! And that I'm going back to Rivet City for a drink! Suck on that!"
Butch (After): "Catch you later. Maybe."
Charon
Player (Before): "You're fired, Charon."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Charon: Are you certain that this is what you wish?
Player (Before): "Do I look like I'm kidding?"
Player (After): "I'm certain, see you around."
Charon: "Very well. Although you remain my employer until my contract changes hands. I will wait for you in Underworld, should you need me again."
Clover
Player (Before): "Leave me alone, Clover. You're fired."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Clover: "Wait... what? Why?"
Player (Before): "Because I say so. Go."
Player (After): "I need to do things on my own for a bit, catch you later?"
Clover (Before): "If that's the way you're going to play, lover. I'll be waiting at Eulogy's place when you come crawling back."
Clover (After): "Whatever you say, honey."
Dogmeat
Player (Before): "It's too dangerous here, pup. Go wait for me at Vault 101."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Dogmeat: "<aroo?>"
Player (Before): "You heard me. Get out of here."
Player (After): "It's alright, boy. I'll see you soon."
Dogmeat (Before): "<whimper>"
Dogmeat (After): "<bark!> <bark!>"
Fawkes
Player (Before): "You're fired, Fawkes. Stop following me around."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Fawkes: "Are you certain?"
Player (Before): "Yes, I'm certain."
Player (After): "Yes, I'm certain. Talk to you soon?"
Fawkes (Before): "I'm disappointed, but I cannot say I'm surprised. If you change your mind, I shall be studying in the American History Museum, downtown."
Fawkes (After): "It is my hope that we will speak again soon."
Jericho
Player (Before): "Get out of here, Jericho. You're fired."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Jericho: "What? Are you serious?"
Player (Before): "Don't make me repeat myself."
Player (After): "Yeah, I'm gonna head out."
Jericho (Before, if Megaton was bombed): "I see how it is: the old man can't keep up. Whatever. I'm gonna go see if there's anything left of Megaton."
Jericho (Before, if Megaton is intact): "I see how it is: the old man can't keep up. Whatever. I'll be at Moriarty's if you change your mind."
Jericho (After, for both): "Come back if you need somethin'."
RL-3
Player (Before): "You're fired, RL-3. Leave immediately."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
RL-3: "I think I may have misheard that order."
Player (Before): "You didn't mishear me. Leave".
Player (After): "You didn't mishear me, I'll see you later."
RL-3 (Before): "Leaving a soldier behind? Very bad form. Making base in Canterbury Commons for when you come to your senses, sir!"
RL-3 (After): "Sir, yes, sir!"
Star Paladin Cross
Player (Before): "We must part ways, Paladin Cross."
Player (After): "It's time for us to part ways."
Star Paladin Cross: "Are you certain?"
Player (Before, literally the same line of dialogue as before, repeated): "We must part ways, Paladin Cross."
Player (After): "I'm certain, see you around."
Star Paladin Cross: "Very well. I shall return to my duties at the Citadel should you require my aid once again."
