Copied review from "Golden Sniper" page
2023 review: This is going to be a "double" review for "Golden Sniper" and "Exploring The Late Vault 74" mods because they should be used together.
There were many iterations of Vault 74 type of quest mods by which fresh creators tried to adjust in Geck and learn how to build new dungeons and stories. My favourite is still, even after so many years, Vault_74_by_MuxauJl_RUS_ENG, because it looks and feels unique, has new proper background story, several stages and cool finale.
So, we all know the deal when we see another "Vault 74" mod. And as a frist trial/error projects - Golden Sniper/Exploring The Late Vault 74 have potental, but really need more content to satisy most of the Fallout 3 mod players.
The interior vault has too little clutter and furniture to actually make you believe that this place was designed like that. As for raiders decorations, yes, you will see several corpses and cages, but the place is too empty even for raider type hideout.
Plus from me for additional traps and mines, but why creator put password for turret system, well, right at the same table with turret control terminal?
But I really liked creator's choice of light in interior lightning system, it really made a plus in atmosphere. And the note about "replaced Vault 108 door" is an interesting narrative method to overcome re-use of vanilla vault door second time, it's good.
And what about "Golden Sniper"? Yes, it works like a small supplement for main Vault 74 content, but when used in full-light interiors or exteriors, this model of sniper rifle again needs more details. For now it doesn't look like "golden", more like a plastic yellow.
So, overall, not a "must have" mod for veterans of Fallout 3 modding, but not a bad project as a starting point for WindedDrip414.
But, sadly, in technical side of things this mod has the biggest flaw for all potential users: <13 deleted NavMeshes which can not be undeleted> in "Exploring The Late 74" esp file - and that's not good. For the most part Vault was decently stable, no clipping walls or floor parts, no broken scripts, but this "navmesh" flaw is really can have a huge impact in the long run for your playthrough, as you all know about deleting navmeshes.
Well, should you try this mod in 2023? If you are a veteran of this modding scene, played nearly all iterations of Vault 74 type of mods - there's not much to see or explore for now. As I already said, the interiors have little to no loot, clutter, objects or side notes to find. And two quests can be completed within 5-7 minutes. But even if creator decided to add more content to this quest (and it would be great, honestly), the "deleted navmeshes" is a deal breaker and can cause future problems.
I can't sincerely give my endorsement for "Exploring The Late Vault 74" (because of techincal side), but will give for "Golden Sniper" addon. And I hope that WindedDrip414 will create more different new quest type mods with improved skills and acknowledging mentioned issues.

Is this the tutorial vault from Bethesda's GECK tutorials, or is this an original creation?

It's based on the GECK tutorial.

Very good. I always have fun exploring the vaults in these fallout games, and this one is no exception. Thank you for this addition!

The missing door in the hallway to the atrium of Vault 74 has been restored to its proper location. The mod is now fully playable. An updated corrected version of the mod will be uploaded shortly.

What's amazing is if you add enough content and aesthetics to this game, it easily surpasses Fallout 4 in terms of what Bethesda wanted FO4 to be. And FO3 still has all its roleplaying, which FO4 was lacking.

Fallout 3 is pretty great. I was a huge fan of all of the games I've played so far. I'm about to start from the beginning and see just how the games progress. I enjoyed Fallout 4 but Fallout 3 was the game that introduced me to the series and I get pretty nostalgic over it. So I can definitely see where you're coming from.

Have fun with the isometric games. For 1 I strongly recommend you go to No Mutants Allowed and get Fallout 1 et 2. It's a mod that lets you play Fallout 1 on Fallout 2's engine with bug fixes and 2's QoLs.

Probably should put a door to leave the vault. During my play there isn't one
