This mod replaces nearly all fallout 3 messages and perk descriptions to be written from first person. All message intents have been kept the same, but have been given a richer narrative flavor so that it brings a new sense of immersion to Fallout 3. Now has all DLC messages replaced as well, same with their perk descriptions in a separate version.

Changelogs
Version 1.2
Hopefully fixed a bug causing fresh characters to crash when first breaking their limbs, when a tutorial message box was supposed to show up but was instead trying to appear as a message in the top left corner of the HUD that was far too long.
Version 1.1
Changed most messages from all DLC, very few left unchanged and any that were weren't strictly 2nd person statements. As with the base version, many messages had their structures changed and descriptors added but all intents for messages and responses are kept with the same spirit.
Changed all DLC perks from 2nd person to 1st person.
Version 1.0
Changed nearly all instances of 2nd person statements in vanilla messages and perks to 1st person.
Rewrote many messages and menu options for those messages, as well as adding to perk descriptions and changing them to 1st person as well.
FO3 - Better Messages aims to replace nearly all in game messages and perk descriptions from second-person (You's, Your's) to first person (I's, I'm, I'll, etc.). This premise isn't new, there's quite a successful mod called Immersive First-Person Messages by Deadmano created in 2015. What I'm doing simply is updating the scene with a similar mod, with the same aim: provide the still playing playerbase of Fallout 3 a solid mod for immersion to help them live in their world they've spent a long time getting just right. It always helps to have some variety in the market.
What Better Messages aims to deliver is a fantastic increase to your immersion. With the V1.0 release, nearly all base messages and perk descriptions have been changed to flow better narratively in first-person. That means more than just changing a you to an I or a you've to an I've. Too many to list, but I've included a good selection of the changed tutorials in the image section to get an idea. These rewrite lots of the in game messages to be more personalized to the player. That being said, I've tried to keep all messages as close to the original intents that were written as I possibly can, usually just changing around sentence structuring and adding additional descriptors. Check the Megaton Bomb Rewrite for a good example!
Now with FO3 - Better Messages Plus, which is available as a separate main file for those who have all 5 of the Fallout 3 DLC.
To give a solid comparison to my style versus Deadmano's, I've decided to include the base message when exiting vault 101 as they did for their comparison.
As for my preferred style of first person immersive messages, this is what the dialogue looks like:
Hopefully this highlighted my writing style well enough, but if not there's plenty of images to check what else the mod has in store for you.
Now with the release of Better Messages Plus, the version that includes all DLC messages and perk descriptions, I've included a few more image examples to get a good feel for the narrative sense, like travelling to the Pitt and being unable to return, dealing with the Artillery guns in Anchorage and requisitioning your first troops, and travelling on the Duchess Gambit to and from the misty peninsula of Point Lookout. Thank you everyone for your support so far on this mod, I hope you all continue to have a great time with your games.
