As in Fallout 4, Dogmeat, his murdered owner, and the raider battle are relocated to the Springvale Red Rocket. Easier, lore friendly recruitment.

Permissions and credits
Fallout 4 did a lot of things wrong, but one thing it did very right was how it introduced Dogmeat at the Red Rocket gas station. I have recreated this in Fallout 3 by relocating/reconstructing all associated NPCs, event flags and trigger perimeter from the out of the way Scrapyard to Springvale's Red Rocket.


Dogmeat gets stuck on objects when he runs around all excited. That is a vanilla issue. It isn't a constant thing though.

Fully compatible with Fallout 3 Rebirth's alterations to Springvale. The battle looks much better with a better backdrop.

Fully compatible with Its a Dogs World - Dogmeat Overhaul. USE LOOT to sort out mod order. It will work.  I can't guarantee compatibility if you sort your mods manually.

Fully compatible with pintocat's Dogmeat Leather Armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/4474) and Unique Dogmeat (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/5748) <-- this may be a better option if you have a large mod load.

I love that mod, but there is a minor conflict. Dogmeat may go nuts after his raider fight and try to kill the hunters and scavengers in Springvale.

NOTE: this version of DMiSV is significantly improved over my last attempt; correctly structured, executed, cleaned and 000801'd.

6/12/21 I'm stepping away from the Bethesda Games modding community (reasons), so this mod will no longer be supported or maintained. And is considered in its final version. Open permissions remain in effect. Thanks.
