Fairfax City Interiors

Overview

This mods adds many new interiors to the city (ruins) of Fairfax Virginia.  It adds things to the exterior cells, including a few new buildings, street lights, and signs.

This mod requires all of the official DLCs and is built on two other interior mods and requires them to be installed as well:

Another Interior Mod
The D.C. Interiors Project

I got creative inspiration from those two mods, used things from them in my interiors, modified some of their interiors, and gave some of their exterior locations unique signs or something else (like graffiti) to make it more evident that there is an interior for a building that didn't have one before.

I tried to make my interiors unique by using many resources created by others and creating my own new (albeit useless) objects for them.

Some interiors have windows you can see out of (when the view was just other buildings and didn't require landscapes and LOD stuff).

In the interiors with custom glass cases in them, I made the glass part destructible, so you can shoot them to get the stuff in them.

Most have light switches that work.

Sadly after 6 months of work I suffered catastrophic burnout and am no longer able to work on this anymore.  I will address any bugs ya'all find though.  But the mod is really not as finished as I was planning.

VERSION 2 (6/17/2019)

Fixes floating or badly positioned items and some mesh/texture issues.

Conflicts

This mod will not work with any other mod that modifies the Fairfax Ruins.  I will not make compatibility patches for them.

Some interiors with transparent windows will conflict with NMC's texture pack.  NMC will not let me add the necessary transparency alpha channel to their textures.  So, the walls that have transparent windows use the vanilla textures and will clash with the walls that use other ones.  There is nothing I can do about it.

This mod adds some of the new items in it to the Rocket Launcher ammo list and the Fire Ax to a few repair lists.  You will need to create a merged patch with FO3Edit if you have another other mods that also change those lists.

9/2/2019 - Patch added for AWOP - AWOP adds on new interior to Fairfax.  I removed their door and added a new one to a building I had not changed yet, and redid the Navmeshes related to it.

Credits

The major players

PixelHate (now User_1205226) for many things!  I used many of his esisting modder's resources, and he helped my with some custom meshes and textures for my mod.  He also tested the mod and helped with errors in item placement and other stuff.

Another Interior Mod - A great mod that gave me the foundation for my interiors as well as ideas of how to create other interesting things from vanilla items.

The DC Interiors Project - A great mod that also gave me the foundation for a few interiors as well as providing many custom meshes I could use in my mod.
