About this mod
This mod provides textures for the main menu and (SOME) title cards, currently 2 times the resolution of the original ones (2048x1024 vs 1024x512).

I made this out of boredom and mainly for myself, but I thought I might drop it here as well.

There are so many texture mods to replace in-game textures and a bunch of mods which provide alternative main menu backgrounds. But none of those tackle the washed-out background of the main menu and loading screens, they either replace it or leave it untouched. I'm here to change this.
I remade the vanilla background from scratch and doubled the resolution. And I already scaled up some other important slides ("Please stand by" for example). See pictures for comparison.
IMPORTANT: most other loading slides are untouched. I have some more rotting somewhere on an old drive, and maybe I'll find some time to dig them up and do the rest, but until then this textures are as-is and won't be updated in the forseeable future. update: I just found out about another mod that does what I didn't finish, it's linked below.
The new background is suitable for 1080p and should look better than vanilla even on 1440p and 4K.
