This mod adds a new weapon which allows the player to turn any NPC or Creature into a companion.

Virtually every moving living being in the game can become a follower, as long as it is not immune to damage.

WHERE TO FIND IT
The weapon Mesmetron/BrainWasher can be found at the entrance of Vault 106, on the floor.

CONSOLE COMMAND
The command code to add it through terminal is:
player.additem xx03b1dc 1
where XX is the mod's load number.

HOW TO USE IT
Just shoot. The target will be knock down... then, after few seconds, it will wake up and become your follower. But remember: scripts by default are only processed every 5 seconds. That means if you shoot more than one target during that interval, only the last one will be processed, all the others will be ignored.

HOW MANY FOLLOWERS IT CAN BRING IN
The player can “brain wash” at least 3 human NPCs  and 1 creature using this weapon. Creatures and humans are processed separately.

So, when you shoot a 4th human, the 1st one will be set free and might become hostile (if it was a former enemy) or not.  The same happens to creatures.

FOLLOWER'S INVENTORY
To open the follower's inventory use the “Config Tool” on it. The tool is automatically added as soon as the “BrainWasher” is acquired.

UNCONSCIOUSNESS
If you shoot one NPC which already is your follower, it will become “unconscious”... and will remain that way until you shoot it again. That is one way to tells it to stop and stay put.

ARMOR
If you use the “Config Tool” while your target is “Unconscious”, the NPC/Creature will exchange armors (power armors / metal armor / no armor). This option has been added because most NPCs do not have good combat skills, so the armor will at least give them a chance.

RESPAW
Some NPCs and creatures respaw every 3 days. If that's the case, the player will have a different follower every 3 days. So do not put any rare items on it. Usually creatures and NPCs inside buildings do not respaw.

CREATURES
Most creatures wandering the wastes will not fast travel with you, neither will they pass through doors. They are usually “rooted” to an specific location and, at fist opportunity, will run back.  For example, a feral ghoul inside metro will only accompany the player while inside that station. It wont go out. But, there are exceptions: enclave robots, enclave death claws, Liberty Prime (after deployed)… etc.

Also, some animals (ants, scorpions, mole rats,... ) will not follow while the player is inside a large pack of followers. They do not know where to position themselves in the queue. But Death Claw, Super Mutants, Feral Ghouls, Mire Lurks, Robots do not have such problem.

HOW TO RELEASE ALL FOLLOWERS
The player will receive a "cupcake", if it is eaten all followers will go away.
