It just doesn't work?.. I've tried installing the mod with Vortex, tried replacing the files by hand. I have the archived invalidation thing and other texture mods seem to be working properly. Not sure what's the matter
Quick question. Do I really need IMPACT if I'm using this and EVE? I mean, besides shell casings... what does IMPACT do, that these don't. *scratches head
Yes, I'm being lazy by not opening up the mod myself.
1) very realistic bullet decals (punctures for hollow metal, buckshot for shotguns, ect) and new impacts containing ricochet ect as well as enabling you to see countless new bullet wounds on living things (game's default is just 3).
2) impacts themselves. (glass shards for glass, metal sparks for metal, wood dust shoots out the bullet exit of wood, ect)
there are other things, like newly retextured bullet casings as well, and the option to make bullet casings last for hours (default game is 5 seconds). Also it gives the option to have refraction on certain impacts (like in Crysis, Farcry, Metro, ect)
.... Dude !! This mod rocks my socks off. The smoke that pours out of mah SMG rules. Plus, I got set on fire and it was so beautiful the way I blazed. *cough

No really IMPACT retextures and adds new impact textures for various firearms, the cartridges obviously which is a nice visual touch in a game that truly needs them. I can say if you have all of these you can pick and choose exactly what texture shows up in game using Mod Organizer. I Hide the files I do not want showing up and it makes overwriting mods a breeze and correcting them just as easy. Just PM me and I'll let you know what I found and the uses it may have for you in game.

I currently use EXE, and xCalibr for bullet effects. I also employ tweaked setting in my bashed patch, for the amount of casing on the ground and the time they are visible. There's not much that I'm missing except maybe some richochets, wood chips, and glass shards.
I'll try out impact again, just so you calm down. Mkay?
Thanks so much for the work on this. The sniper-dodging, car-blowing-up set pieces in Minefield turned the place into a real warzone thanks to this mod.
