Changes coming in the next version (last updated June 8, 2023):
    Spoiler:
    Show
    New:
    - Strength penalties on raw meats have been replaced with the "Raw Meat" effect, which includes a strength penalty of -1 for 120s. This means that only the duration of the strength penalty will stack when eating multiple types of raw meat.

    Fixes:
    - Rigging the Megaton Bomb now correctly requires only 25 Explosives, while disarming it requires 50. (not retroactive)
    - Fixed an issue with Dogmeat not being recruitable with Broken Steel.
    - Fixed an issue with the Broken Steel/Complete plugins breaking the "party full" message
    - Removed navmesh edits, as the mod is not packaged as an esm.
    - Removed erroneous edits to how chems are affected by the Chemist perk.
    - [OA] Fixed typo in Covert Ops perk description. Now specifies +25% sneak crit damage as intended.

    Items:
    - Buffout: Duration from 60s to 120s.

    Other:
    - Ant Senses will now display its +10% V.A.T.S. hit chance in the active effects menu.
    - Doctor's Bags are now a lot more common in locked First Aid Boxes.
    - Added Doctor's Bags to list of healing items dropped by Enclave Soldiers.
    - Doctor's Bags are now a lot more common and found in higher quantities inside Enclave Crates.
    - Increased weighting of Doctor's Bags in Talon Company and Brotherhood Outcast leveled lists.
    - [PL] Added 3 Doctor's Bags to Marcella's Medical Supplies.

Any news about the upcoming patch, specifically to fix the hiring Dogmeat bug? Sort of a game-halting issue that should be addressed.

Hi again good sir. Somehow this mod is making the game crash when i try to open it and i dont know why this happens since its installation runs fine. And in fact its this mod thats making the game crash cos i already tested it by uncheck the box disabling specificaly this mod. Could you possibly know what is causing this?

Could be almost anything, there's no way for me to know since there's no crashlogs in Fallout 3. All I do know is that I can't reproduce that crash on my end

A crash on startup tends to mean a missing master. Are you trying to run the game with only Vicious Wastes - Complete.esp checked perhaps?

No, all the required masters for this to work i've installed, but the crashes persisted. I've found out that when i install any features that come along with this mod the crashes happen. The only way the game to function with this mod is if i install it mannually without any of its features wich is a bummer.

One thing ive noticed regarding the requirements for this mod to work it asks for "fose version 1.3 b2+", but there isnt any fose with that version except versions 1.3 beta and 1.2 beta 2. So wich one ive should installed to make this mod work.

FOSE 1.3b2 is the bottom link on the FOSE page, the 7z file is just inconsistently named. An incorrect/missing FOSE requirement likely wouldn't cause a crash like that either, the mod would just do nearly nothing

The only thing I can think of is that your UI files might be damaged. If you allowed the installer to patch your HUD files, could you open up the hud_main_menu.xml file installed by Vicious Wastes and take a screenshot for me? It should look something like this (it'll look slightly different from mine, I'm using Darnified UI)

Due to the file extension i had to screen capture it in 11 parts, cos, i apologize for that, i dont know how to upload this menu in one single file .

UI file looks undamaged. That's unfortunately my only guess as to what's happened, since that will also cause a crash on startup

Hey man, It's been like three years ago since you made this post. I don't know if you're still having problems with the crashing of this mod, or maybe moved to TTW; but I might have a solution to your problem. You see, if you have this mod installed with other rebalancing mods--take Fugacity for example--you will experience the crash on start up if you don't sort the esps.
      Better showcase:
      Vicious Wastes
      Fugacity
Respective patches for other mods that may conflict with either Fugacity or Vicious Wastes' changes.

Im having a little trouble with the ini file of vicious wastes. It seems that the changes i made doesnt reflect back in the game. Maybe you need to start a new game for that?

Recommend using Command Extender's "InjectUIXML" instead of changing the HUD XML directly. Otherwise, fun mod enjoying so far!

Anyone know of a lighter version of this that *is* save compatible?

I never played 3 before and decided to try it out without survival mechanics first; that was a boring mistake.

I concur with others here with regards to Dogmeat. Be weary you may not have a chance to recruit him normally with this mod. I heard switching the ESPs works to recruit him but I can't seem to do that on MO2, so idk what to do

Just curious if this is compatible with JIP Companions Command and Control (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20035) and Its a Dogs World - Dogmeat Overhaul (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21854)

Also any ETA on the next version release (which fixes the Dogmeat issue?)
