I am a Ham radio operater and it is good to here some thing coming from the radios it would also be a good iada to have some old morse as well as it is still used and it probley will be for years to come if you would like i can actley genarate the nessercery files
I've e created a translation of this mod that treats the ham radio as a working radio with it's own dedicated station, it will now play all the audio files randomly on a continuous broadcast.
The audio emanates from the radios and the on/off switch also stops any sound playing from the radio; nor does the radio need to be reactivated to play a sound file again. - I've e also tested it and works with any new ham radios placed through DLC or other third party mods.
this mod is fantastic. simple script, random chance for a random sound, no save bloating etc...ads a small function to the totally pointless ham radio activator
Simple and brilliant, one of the best small mods ever! Adds such a creepy but nice detail to the world, there's no HAM radio I don't turn on whenever I pass by :-)
I like this a lot - gives a use to the HAM radios as well as providing an eerie broadcast that works well in places like the abandoned house in Grayditch and the large barn-type building to the West of Megaton. Many thanks for this.

This is a great idea. Do you plan on developing this idea further? Perhaps game relevant audio? I would be glad to do some voice work/acting (I do so professionally) and send you the files if you wanted.

Yeah, just game relevant broadcasts is all, right? I could put together some wave files of "Wasteland related" chatter merged with static etc and see what you think. Maybe even some clues as to encounter locations etc?

I was doodling some in geck with the mod, rather than random dialog, each radio could be accessed in order 1-20 with dialog for each The voice-over would give a hint to where the next radio is and so on. This is ok if a player wants to do a ham radio quest. but many would just want a working radio. you can't have both. because it's an activator running a script. Maybe just raiders yelling at Brotherhood or amongst each other with some funny parts thrown in. I had a nice player home Scavenger Wasteland, it had a working radio, with the 3 Stooges LOL.
Mkay, this little mod is just awesome. The sounds coming out of the radio are great. I get chills every time I turn one on now. I put a vote in for this gem.

Fixed and tweaked the sound, It now emanates from the radio as it should, and stays in the room it's playing in.
