About this mod

A relatively powerful, but slow cycling pistol in .50 AE. It NEEDS CALIBR for the ammo.

WHAT IT DOES

It adds a powerful and accurate, but slow cycling, .50 AE pistol, ported over from one of my NV mods. Note however that it doesn't contain any pieces of any weapon from NV. All the pieces other than my own come from the 10mm pistol and the Chinese Mauser.

It is available in silenced or non-silenced versions. The non-silenced version does marginally more damage, but is also MUCH louder. So basically one is better for sneaky assassinations, one is better for a standup fight. Your choice.

Both can be repaired with 10mm pistols.

Both have a 2x chance to crit, and do 2x damage to limbs. On a crit, they knock down.

Unlike some of the other ports from other games, this one is fully animated. In slo-mo VATS shots, you can see the hammer swinging and the slide sliding and all.

I also gave it a nice custom JSP projectile (only visible in VATS shots) and some nice shiny .50 AE brass to eject, well, just because I could.

REQUIREMENTS

It NEEDS Calibr for the .50 AE ammo.

HOW TO GET IT

A locked crate containing the weapons is inside the Super Duper Mart. Hint, it will be near a computer. The lock is very easy, but do bring a bobby pin or two.

Moira in Megaton, Karl in the Family Hideout, and Chief Gustavo in the Tenpenny Tower sell some more .50 AE ammo, if you have the caps. Well, and assuming you didn't kill them all, anyway.

As of 1.01, the .50 AE ammo will also be added to the loot and vendor lists, so you have a small chance to find a few more rounds in containers or at other vendors (I just got some from Lucky Harrith while testing it.) Not large amounts, but every bit helps.

HOW TO INSTALL IT

Search for "set bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" in your Fallout.ini file and change it to "set bInvalidateOlderFiles=1", if you haven't done so already.

Extract the archive, with directories, in your game's "Data" folder.

If you have any texture problems, try invalidating the archive, for example with FOMM.

HOW TO UNINSTALL IT

Delete the .esp file from your Data directory.

Delete the LilDevil127mm directory in both the Meshes/Weapons and Textures/Weapons directories.

CONFLICTS

I suppose something could place their own crate or furniture on top of mine, preventing you from looting the weapon box. I'm not aware of anything that does, though.

LICENSE

For my own work, I release it in the public domain. You can do anything you wish with it. I would, of course, appreciate it if you give credit, but if not, so be it, I can live with that too.

Note though that the clip, trigger, hammer, muzzle flash, and animations are Bethesda's, so it's not ok to port those to other games than Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. If you want to port this to another game, you'll have to get a clip, trigger and hammer from some weapon in that game.
