Okay. Yes. It is probably supposed to look like cross-stitching. You are not required to inform me of this in e-mails, PMs, and comments. Especially not all three at once. For the love of God.
The problem is that it's ugly as sin regardless. It is not easy to cross-stitch this font. It is not easy to make a graphic in a graphics program that looks like it's cross-stitching this font... especially not legibly. It kinda tends to blend into the "fabric". Also, the original had no texture, other than a bit of a papery tinge to the edges. So, I went with calligraphy.
If I ever manage to make it NOT look ugly as sin, I will post it. I promise. But please. I know. Really. And no, I was NOT joking about the "all three at once" bit, hence my post.
And now for the original bloody description:
Ever wonder why that framed Revelations quote looks like it was sized up from a very small scale and then saved as a low-quality JPEG? Well, I work with graphics, so it bugged me to death. I HAD to redo it.
Installation:
1. Extract contents to the Data folder in your installation directory.
2. Open up FALLOUT.ini in My Documents\My Games\Fallout 3 with Notepad or other text editor and locate the following line "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" and set it to 1.
3. Open (or create if it does not exist) ArchiveInvalidation.txt in your Data folder, and add the following lines:
textures/clutter/framedquote01.dds
textures/clutter/framedquote01_n.dds
OR
3. Use ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! Highly recommend.
4. Enjoy!
Uninstallation:
Delete the lines in ArchiveInvalidation.txt (If you used it) and delete the "framedquote01.dds" and "framedquote01_n.dds" files in Data\textures\clutter\. If the folder is empty, you can go ahead and delete it, too.
