Can someone upload somewhere the FO3 default inventory_menu.xml? I see you guys are using to patch a compatibility issue with Workbench repairs mod.

    Thanks in advance.

I cannot understand how to work this mod. I installed it, but nothing happens! Traders may not have new items.
How much time should pass to the necessary items were traders?
    Help, what to do?

P.S. On the fifth attempt Tailoring Kit began to work. Cool!
    I endorse of this mod.

This is a neat mod here, however I have found one issue.
I can't seem to repair Enclave Hellfire Armour with the metal patch and Solder.
I'm guessing this is because it's Broken Steel addon? Just wondering if this is the case, and if so, any chance of this being changed in the future?

Okay, now using version 2.0 and I have not been able to repair (R) my armor. The leather patches I made are placed in the 'misc' inventory rather than the armor inventory. Perhaps this is the reason - the game can find nothing in the armor section of the inventory to use to repair my armor??? If there is some other procedure to repair please add complete directions to the readme file.

      Hee Duster,

I just tried it. Wore the armor that needed repair, hit R for repair and it gave me the patches to choose from so works for me.

      -Hels

ps. my patches are in the misc inventory too

Thanks for the input Helstar, I'll try re-installing the whole thing - wouldn't be the first time I goofed and install.

EDIT: Re-installing didn't help. I use a workbench repair mod; http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20341/? that alters weapon repair removing the function from the normal pipboy method. Even though I have tailoring kit loaded last I am guessing that the workbench mod caused the problem. (IIR it does disable armor repair - that's why I loaded tailoring kit)

Duster, Are you using Fo3Edit and making a Merged Patch? A merged patch can help It will bring all the form lists from all your mods and merge them so that the game will see the added repair lists.

Yes indeed CG. I always run FO3Edit and have it create a merged patch, I then run Master Update. The more I think about it the more likely it seems that the Workbench Repair and Dismantling mod is the culprit. It makes some significant changes with weapon repairs but disables armor repair in the pipboy interface (or anywhere else).

Hi Duster, Yes that is the culprit as I also use that mod for my weapon repairs. It adds inventory_menu.xml that disables the pipboy repair altogether. I suggest you just restore the original- inventory_menu.xml and it will solve everything. You can still use workbench dismantling just the same without that file.

That did it CelticGirl, thanks!!!! This is a great mod for the armor system. It always bugged me having to carry complete sets in order to be able to repair one set. Converting and armor to patches makes things much more manageable weight - wise. It is also a bonus having so many different things becoming usable - being able to convert a particular garment into patches that you can use on a different one is great!

In the vanilla game it seems that combat armor was only slightly less common than leather - that always bugged me. With this mod there are so many different things that can be used for leather patches that it makes it much easier to maintain than combat armor. A needed fix IMO!!

      Happily endorsed!!

Installed version 1.5 and just tried it. After I dropped the kit and made some patches I was unable to pick the kit back up. The 'E' key just activated the kit again and the 'Z' key moved the kit like any other object in the game.

I'm terribly sorry Duster, I had forgotten to include how to pick up the tailoring kit in the readme.
Just Crouch/Sneak (Left Ctrl) while activating it and it will go into your inventory again.

      Hi Celticgirl,

Thanks for the fast fix. Activation works like a charm now, but any surplus items inside the kit still disappear after making patches. Teaches me for trying to get another cloth storage container and making tons the easy way in stead of doing hard labor

Hi Helstar, 2.0 Fixes that! Only the required components will be removed. You can store needles & thread, solder and Wonderglue the kit will only remove 1 at a time of those. But will remove all items of armor on a particular list type E.G.Cloth, Reinforced, Leather etc. That I can't help whatever is on the list gets removed.
Any non tailoring item such as weapons food etc. are completely safe now.

First of all great idea, loving it and thank you for making it

Think I found a bug though. When I make patches, the tailoring kit stops working. I have to " unlock " it, put it back into my inventory and put it back on the floor again. Any item that was inside the tailoring kit vanishes that way. Is that supposedly to happen? I was using it as a cloth container inside my UH

    Regards,

    -Hels

Great idea, Celtic Girl, but i have a problem: I tried install with FMM and this message appear: "This mod requires a script to install properly, but don't have one." I also uses the traditional method of installation, and does not work. Please, help me. I want try your likeable mod.

      Hi jhoneduard2009,
This is a manual install version basically just drop the Tailoring Kit.esp into your Fallout 3 \ Data folder. I don't know exactly what your path would be to the Fallout/Data folder as mine in on Windows XP.
I use FoMM to enable and disable mods it's a very good program, and I think the reason for the 'script error is because you are trying to install it through a mod manager. Just unzip and drop the plugin into the data folder and then it should show up in your mod manager.

I already did, but nothing happens. In stores no new products and armor repaired as usual. I think there is no solution. Thanks anyway.
