Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to create this resource. It's one of those little things that has a big effect on the immersiveness of the game. Personally, I never understood why, with the entirety of D.C. and the Wasteland to scavenge, so many of the beds look like they came out of a flophouse.
Oh this is some very interesting work well done Mr. pixelhate do I have permission to use this resource in my next mod? I was really looking for a clear bunk bed and you made that happen thank you very much! you definitely displayed some professional work.
I think I tired making thing's like this and for me it's both frustrating and time consuming and I work alot of mandatory over time and my. Real life job.
Thank you for the appreciation and the nice words. It's mainly a resource, so it will have its full meaning once used in a (or more) Mod. Please, use it!
I seem to have more fun creating resource than making mods...
EHMARGERD! How did you know this is something I've wanted to have in my NV mod ever since I started it? It's perfect for the new bunk beds I made! You're my hero!
Sneak peek! Just need a bit more fiddling in Nifskope but I was in a hurry, haha!
Would it be OK if I use them then? With credits, of course. They look great and I love that they use vanilla textures (and it's just the right color I needed). They are awesome!
Did you know that I started these when your Blanketed Bed came out. I found it cool but I wanted a 3D blanket. It's only recently that I could manage to have it like I wanted.
So it's all logic that it goes back to you also. It is safe to use this resource in NV, all parts used are shared. So go ahead!
Cosy interior you have there, it look like it fits well! Out of curiosity, what is the mesh used for the folded blanket?
I've just retextured the folded blanket to be a pillow, since I had it be a blanket just because the bed didn't have one It's the world model for a vault outfit, the utility one if I recall correctly, that I retextured. These really do look great, thanks again
Hey, I didn't know you were working on these, you keep so busy.
It's always great, when decorating cells, to have more variety of items to call upon so these are appreciated.
You've created some fun variations here & I really like that you've made them so that they retain the same look as vanilla textures, so that they can be blended in.
"Bugs reports are greatly appreciated and rewarded with Kudos."
Not a bug really but a possible tweak suggestion, the clutter pillows are set to HAV_MAT_METAL whereas HAV_MAT_CLOTH would be a better choice.
HAV_MAT_METAL gives them a clunk when dropped & metal damage impacts when hit, changing to HAV_MAT_CLOTH works perfectly as they sound like material when dropped & no impacts show when struck.
Thank-you kindly for taking the time to make & share this resource!
Actually, quite old project I was never able to finish. With the slow progress in Blender, I could give the last touch.
I had to restrain myself to expand the possible variations, the aim was not to do more, but get rid of unfinished projects.
Ah! I probably set the HAV_MAT to cloth to all the pillows but forget the main ones!
Thank very much for the head up! I'll correct that asap. Unfortunately, I can't give you more Kudos. But your help and support is much more valuable than that anyway ...
Thank you for your comment and endorsement, it means a lot to me.
I understand your desire to have it customized. That's why the resource exists.
In your cases, it would be as simple as identifying the new mesh you like, rename it as the Vanilla mesh and place it in the appropriate folder, plus add a couple of new textures in the right folder, depending your choice.
Since there are about 16 different meshes for bed, I won't do every possible combination replacement and post them here.
But I'm willing to assist you further in the process if the above quick explanation isn't enough.
I concur with what onyx said. These are phenomenal, and if you could make them replace all the beds in the game it would be spectacular! Love the grimy blanketed version and the actual cardboard bed.
