So I've been playing around with GECK trying to make my house in Megaton exactly how I wanted it. I tried a few custom Megaton homes from Nexus and they always added a bunch of extra stuff that I didn't need or want. I wanted something simple, uncluttered, and cozy. Anyway, I thought you guys might be interested in it, but it's nothing great or ambitious about it. I expect every other first time GECK modder probably has their own little customized thru GECK home.
I actually wanted less space because I hated going up into the upstairs bedroom because Dogmeat kept blocking the doorway. Which sucked because not only did I sleep up there to heal up, but I used the desk and file cabinet for organizing.
Word of warning, it uses different containers than vanilla so empty out your house before using so you can transfer into the new containers. Also, this is not supposed to be used with themes since I used up space that the theme would normally be using. I didn't check how to make Moira not sell themes though. It won't break anything but you won't get anything out of the themes since I deleted all theme items, so you won't notice a difference.
You'll still get all the useful stuff Moira addons though, like the lab, workbench, infirmary, nuka machine, and jukebox(now a Radiation King radio). I actually made the infirmary look more like one because it always bothered me that it was basically just a surgical tool stand. Now it looks like something you could actually heal yourself at. Workbench gets a toolbox to store your crafting items right on top of it.
Also, Mr Handy is now 50% scale, as I wanted a Roomba more than a robot that goes upstairs and blocks me all the time. Now he's too small to go up the stairs, and usually just loiters in the empty middle area.
There are also less lights. The normal space has lights in places where there are not even light sources. I also took out the lights and all furniture in the top rooms. Those are the weird, extra rooms you never go into.
