About this mod

This mod contains a new armor for you. It uses the scribes robe meshes and slightly altered textures together with the stats of the Talon Companys armor. It does not alter anything about the original scribes robe. This is a new item I\'ve added.

Update2: Thanks to Irian for pointing out that at least some texture problems may be because of "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" not set to 1 in Fallout.ini
The file is in My Documents/My Games/Fallout3/... so you might want to check that.

Update: KaylaKaze made two awesome retextures. I suggest you take a look:

The first time I've seen this robe I knew I must have it. But armor is essential in the wastelands, so I created an armored robe.
Here's the readme:

***Grimoas Armored Robe***
a mod for Fallout 3

This mod contains a new armor for you. It uses the scribes robe meshes and slightly altered textures together with the stats of the Talon Companys armor.
It does not alter anything about the original scribes robe. This is a new item I've added.

**Installation / Playing the PlugIn**
Unpack everything to your Fallout3\Data\ directory.
Open your Fallout.ini (My Documents/My Games/Fallout3/...) find the line bInvalidateOlderFiles=1. If it says ...=0 change the value to 1 and make sure you save the file.
When starting the game press "Data" (or whatever it is in english), tick Grimoas_armored_robe.esp press ok, than click "play".
To obtain the armor, open the console (~) and type
player.additem xx000ed4, 1 (hit enter)
where xx is the number of this mod in your load order. It's 01 if you have no other plugins running.
The robe is added to your inventory. Enjoy!

Just a small note on repairing the robe: It should use the scribes robe to repair with, but I haven't tested. In case it doesn't work you can always get a new one using the above console command. To get rid of old robes, put them on the ground, open up console, click the robe and type "disable", than hit enter.

FOMM - Fallout Mod Manager by Timeslip
This opens Fallout.esm and lets you create *.esp files. Was a lot of guesswork to me, because I can't read hex, but in the end it worked!
Oh, and it unpacks the *.bsa archives.

Well, to replace the textures...
