So yesterday i tried to install the mod but had to uninstall it due to there apparently compatibility issues according to vortex, yet after removing the mod and removing it and deleting the archive it I still get the tutorial messages for it. could anyone tell me how I can fully remove the mod?
Install manually: 1. Extract the contents of the ZIP file into your Fallout 3 'Data' folder. 2. Locate 'jipsf_fo3_hud.exe' (in the 'Data' folder), run it, then press 'a'. 3. Lastly, open what mod manager you use and make sure “JIP Selective-Fire.esp” is ticked.
Not sure why so many mod authors love the B key so much.
This was probably because of the Pipboy PDA light mod which I believe is built into the Readius mod. If you hold shift b for a bit you can reassign the hotkey for the light.
Tried this mod out last night, and I am very impressed. With a little adjustment, it fits in very well with DarnUI. The burst and semi modes feel organic, like they were packaged with the game. Neither mode has a second-long pause between shots, which is just fantastic. I'm having so much fun with this, thank you so much!
I'm new to this mod and I'm really liking how it helps me be more conservative in light of a harsher game setup (FWE, etc). I'm wondering with all of the custom settings per weapon if it should be retaining its last setting or if the gun is intended to go back to full auto when re-equipped. I keep forgetting to reset it when I re-equip and then surprise myself when I expect a single and get full auto so I'm hoping I'm just missing something. If it's working as intended I'll just have some learning curve I suppose but I thought I would ask to rule it out.
Just reinstalled FO3 and started adding a bunch of mods. I installed Pelinor's SF mod, but I didn't like having to have two controls to cycle the fire mode, so I decided to install this mod as I was familiar with it from FO:NV. However, I immediately noticed a few problems.
Apparently, the mod doesn't play well with DarnUI. Now, if I recall correctly, I used MTUI in FO:NV, and it fit quite nicely within the other UI elements. But I decided to go with DarnUI in FO3 for some reason, and the SF icon when using type 2 sits right on top of the health bar, and when using type 1 covers up the HUD elements from FWE. Also of note is that version 2 is not scaled to match DarnUI.
Second, after installing, I noticed that the ironsights from RH_Ironsights were suddenly nearly an inch lower on the screen, causing aiming in first person to be useless, and due to another problem I've been having with 3rd person firing animations, this made it so I could not aim at all.
It would be nice if you had a variant with better HUD element scaling/placement for use with DarnUI. I don't know what's up with the ironsights, but I do know that the only change between having them work fine and not having them work at all is installing this mod.

JIP Companions Command and Control
Will no longer work. :-(
NMM is unable to install it.
Vortex is unable to install it.
Manual install will not work.
