I want to thank hairylegs for taking the time to do the monumental effort of back porting the years of work we've done on TTW to Fallout 3 (sans our changes for other reasons). He's done an amazing job and a thing I myself did not want to do as it's enough working keeping TTW up to date. Rest assured we will continue to work together to bring fixes to both Fallout 3 and TTW.
I hope you enjoy all the work we've done, from scratch to make Fallout 3 the best it can be.
I only ask that you be respectful to him and us, if you find something you don't like or disagree with. The amount of work here is in the 10s of thousands of hours and everything was considered carefully. Enjoy!
Step 17 in the Installation Instructions to start a new game is there for that reason.... along with many many other reasons. So please follow that step! I'm tired of seeing users not following instructions and posting this same "bug" over and over and over again in here lol.
This includes upgrading from previous versions as well. Each version depends, but better to start a new game each time upgrading.
I'm not able to install the mod, it gives me the ''missing master'' problem, saying that I don't have the .esm files from the dlc, but I don't have the dlcs, is there any way to install it with the standard game?
I hate to make a new post so soon but I'm having another issue... when I first downloaded the game, it would crash whenever I tried to start it up on steam, so I fixed that by deletin the .ini files, and now it launches fine from steam. However, when I try to launch the game through MO2 (like the instructions say), it goes to a black screen and crashes immediately. I know that this has likely been answered before, and I looked through these comments trying to find someone with the same problem but I've had no luck. Please let me know if you need any screenshots of anything
Recommend uninstalling your FO3 and starting over following the installation instructions more carefully. Following each step exactly what they say is important.
Try steps 7-9. That guide is outdated but maybe those steps will help you. Keep in mind your issue can be many other things involved. I'd have to sit down at your PC to figure it out if those steps still don't help.
By guide I meant the instructions that you made. I followed them to the letter, and I'm still having the same issue. Add me on discord if you want, my username is "pirozed." (with the dot at the end)
Rivet City has a weird thing going on in one of the stair cases it goes to a door way with no door and you fall through to the hotel desk area when going through that door and Doctor Zimmer and his guard were stuck at that doorway , I did get my Wired Reflexes perk from him, so I think I completed The Replicated Man mission alright
I am sorry to ask something fundamental, but before going from 3.3.5 to 3.3.6, can I simply download and install 'Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch' in my mod manager replacing the previous version, or do I need to go through all the steps again on the description page?
You can uninstall the previous version and install the new one without going through all the steps. Also make sure to update the ESM Patcher as well if you haven't yet.
This patch has significantly enhanced my gaming experience throughout the last playthrough, and I am very grateful for the hard work put into it. Unfortunately, I have encountered a persistent issue that still exists and needs to be addressed. It's one of the very few bugs I've come across with this patch, but it significantly impacts the gameplay. At the conclusion of the base game, I asked Fawkes to activate the purifier, and he agreed to do so. However, upon entering the chamber, he simply stands idle until the timer expires, resulting in the entire area being destroyed. I'm wondering if you could take a look at this issue?
The plasma rifle's 'barrel' is bugged/broken and alternates its visuals based on direction constantly. It's not game breaking but it is immersion breakingly ugly and annoying. Can this be fixed with an INI tweak or something? I'd really like this to stop happening. Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2 Screenshot 3
Experimented with WMK to see if it persisted. It did not. With any attachments on the green glass barrel appears properly. It's this mod. How do I fix this?
Looks like the best course of action is to remove that Plasma Rifle mesh from the archive. Either wait for the next update or you can remove it out of the BSA and repack it.
Deleting the plasma rifle mesh from the BSA then repacking with BSArchon made it look much better however I still noticed an oddity with it. I'm just going to reinstall my mods as they were and leave things as is until an update fix goes live. Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2
Hello, I'm stuggling with step 13 (I skipped 11 and 12). I have been trying to install the FOMOD with MO2 but it just doesn't work, no matter what I try. I don't even have the faintest idea of what I'm meant to be doing. Any help from anyone will be very appreciated, thank you in advance!
NPC mouths don't move when they speak, hats are on the sides of heads, and multiple textures are screwed up, including the signboard and certain armors. Archive Invalidation is active. Using MO2. See provided screenshots.
Installation issue. The game isn't using the vanilla overrides inside the UUF3P BSA.
- Check to see if the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.Override file is inside your data folder - Check to see if the Command Extender is installed correctly. That override file works with it
Did a full reinstall following installation instructions. I suspected there might have been an issue with the wav fomod install so I tried the ogg instead. Override file installed correctly, command extender installed exactly like last time. Worked first attempt. My MO2 either failed to install the fomod correctly or there was some issue with the wav conversion with my first install.
