Permissions and credits
With release of standalone Universal Sorting Toolkit there is now house-only version with sorter removed. Old one is still perfectly fine and polished and now is the final combined version.

Description
-------------------------
Slightly enlarged and redesigned Megaton player house that comes with extra storage and universal item sorter (main feature).

Regarding house (see screenshots). Changes were made to make your home feel less like a flophouse but rather something more cozy and more convenient in practical use while staying realistic: main room enlarged by one section, no wall at the small room you probably visit twice per entire game, no dust flying, jukebox and bobblehead stand swapped, cleaner bed, fridge and sink, a few carpets and posters. And a bunch of new storage containers for the...

Sorter. The best one you can get. Essentially, it does exactly the same thing you do when you return back home with loot just with a simple press of a button.

You decide what goes where not mod author: you define item category yourself by putting it once to an appropriate container and after that sorter will do it for you. More play, less inventory management!

Unlike the majority of item sorters around it doesn't sort by destroying stuff in your inventory and creating it at destination and completely universal. The main principle: it checks content of the destination containers and if there are items present both in a container and the sorter it sends them to that container. It will retain all the properties of transfered items including state of scripted items. It works perfectly with my Time Bomb mod (which actually was created because of this sorter).

Mod works by extensive use of marking items as quest and RemoveAllItems function and moving player inventory to temporary container and as a result comes with some minor inconveniences.

Usage:

You can put items to the Sorter manually but if you activate the switch when it's empty it will automatically put everything present in the destination containers to the sorter. Press the switch with non-empty sorter and it will sort. Anything not present in any of the containers will stay in the sorter.

To prevent some items from moving around add them to Manual Keep List by putting them in the sorter and using Activate on it (not the switch) while holding grab key and sneaking. Items will be added or removed if already in the list. List already includes Food Sanitizer and it will not annoy with active/inactive messages.

By default using sorter will clear hotkey item bindings. To avoid this and keep hotkeyed items in your inventory while sorting you have to manually update (that's to avoid FOSE crash bug automatically happening) Hotkey Keep List by holding Grab key while activating the switch. I recommend to ignore hotkey keeping and use Extended Hotkeys instead or adding them to Manual List by hand. Use your own discretion.

To exclude some items from being automatically moved to sorter (e.g. ammo, chems, equipment - anything you travel around with) add them to Extended Keep List same way as with manual list (by grab activating sorter) but standing.

By default it watches for the cluster of containers in the workbench corner and the fridge. If you really want to change container list use the console: open it, click on a container and enter one of the following to add or remove it (replace xx with the mod order number):
AddFormToFormList xx004464 <id you see on your screen><br><em>ListRemoveForm xx004464</em> <id><br>Newly added containers will have higher sorting priority then initial ones.<br><br>Additionally you will get Dump Tool item (on a small table). If you activate it and close Pip-Boy it will show you menu allowing to destroy all junk items in your inventory or if your crosshair points to a container dump junk, craft or custom items to that container. To modify these three lists (in a similar fashion to sorter's Keep List) switch to sneak mode, look at the container with items in it and activate the Tool. You can use them for anything you wish - not necessarily junk and craft. Dump Tool works simpler and limited to aid/misc/ammo types of items.<br><br>All lists except where mentioned are empty by default. Many mod operations have useful output to the console.<br><br>House was designed alongside <a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18983">Megaton Player and Simms Houses Swap</a> mod<br><br><br>======================<br>Installation<br>======================<br><br>Note: This mod requires FOSE. You can use console to remove anything you don\'t like (<em>zap</em> command) and reposition anything using <em>GetPos <x y or z></x></em> and <em>SetPos <x y or z></x></em>. For example if something placed by other mod to the vanilla main room wall ends up floating midair use:<br><em>getpos y<br>setpos y <number returned by getpos></number></em><br><br>If you install this mod after buying the house a few containers can be misplaced. Use <em>getpos y</em>, <em>setpos y</em> and <em>setangle z</em> commands to fix it.<br><br>Sorter limitations:<br>Due to the awkward ways it achieves its goals (thanks to Bethesda) every time you use it all equipped items will be unequipped and reequipped.<br>If hotkey keeping is enabled sorter will not sort items of these types and also you have to manually update hotkey list (by grab activating switch) which due to a FOSE bug can cause game crash. Do this after saving (and better right after you enter your house) or reassign hotkeys after / ignore altogether. This will still take a lot less time than sorting manually anyway.<br><br>======================<br>Modders' notice:<br>======================<br><br>If you want to integrate Sorter in your mod it\'s easy and already supports multiple sorters. You just need to copy all the entries starting from rmSort (except SortTool related if you don't need it). Place rmSortBoxTmp (only one) instance and name it rmSortBoxTmpREF. Create rmSortBox along with GenElecSwitch01 and add this switch to activate parent tab of the sorter. Don't forget to make them persistent. Put all destination container references in rmSortContainers form list (each sorter instance will work only with containers in a current cell). That's it.<br><br>==============<br>Credits:<br>==============<br><br>Thanks to <a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/users/331421">Felic</a> for giving the idea on placement of some of the containers with his mod.<br><br>Special "thanks" to Bethesda for ridiculously not implementing extremely simple function for moving item from one container to another.<br><br>Check my other mods which can make your game more comfortable and enjoyable:<br><a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/19083">Revamped Leveling</a><br><a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/19119">Extended Save Manager</a><br><a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18990">Extended Hotkeys</a><br><a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18994">Aim Sensitivity</a><br><a href="http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/19441">Universal Sorting Toolkit</a><br><br>and other.
