I had to uninstall this mod because using doctors could not get rid of the addiction if you received it.

I am now using Usable Cigarettes

Along with Whats Your Brand - Cigarette Texture Megapack

I have been able to cure the addiction (when using the mod Usable Cigarettes) with the doctor in Megaton by choosing the dialogue option "I need a therapy. doc."

wish I had read this first - now I have to remove it, and changes all the cigs I collected lol
Only smoked the Lucky ones and still got hooked, and could not remove even with console command.

I know this is a little bit late (VERY LATE), but is there any way of NOT having the "CHEM:" preposition in front of the Eg. Cigarette? What I mean is that I want it to just be named "Cigarette" and not "CHEM: Cigarette"

Sorry for bad english but english isn`t my native launguage...

I rummaged through this mod with FO3edit and realised there are alternative meshes, for cigarillos and cigars. I managed to make those work for ciggi world models (not too big a deal, just replace the .nif in the MODEL entry), but is there any way with FO3edit to replace the cigarette in my chars mouth with a burning cigarillo (the cigarillos have the same measurements as a regular cig)?

Anyone familiar with the mesh topic, please enlighten me on this. If I need NifScope, Blender or other such stuff, please point me to some comprehensive tutorials, anything I found so far was rubbish.

okay so somehow about 2 hours of playtime randomly The mod started giving me two types of cigarettes, this mods with the one that says CHEM: Cigarettes (#) and then just Cigarettes (#) which when smoked cause the animation to play whereas the CHEM one works like the mod intended. So i removed the mod and then went in game and the mods CHEM: Cigarettes are gone but the other cigs remain. Im stumped i never installed a second cig mod... WHERE ARE THESE OTHER CIGARETTES COMING FROM?!
Another thing. These unwanted cigs have a Stimulant effect.Rads+4,Speech+5,CHR+1 and opening th packs seems to give me these ones instead of the mods CHEM ones. My load order for any saint that comes this way and can help me figure this s*** out. I like my game ruining perfect and this bothers the hell out of me because i cant seem to figure out whats going on.

Could this be FWE? if so how do I remove FWE ones because i dont need two cig mods.

Edit: Fixed it. Definitely was FWE that also has better chems mod installed into it. Had to go directly into FO3edit and delete better chems tobacco Moduals under indigestible in the FWE modual. For anyone else with this issue thats how i solved it.

The fwe expansion doesn't seem to work for me but this was last updated in 2013 so I doubt I'll get a response

It's probably because FWE also adds it's own kind of cigs (with the incorporation of Better living Through Chems mod). It worked fine for me on my last try to mod this game to my liking, but I decided there were some key aspects in FWE I did not want. Will try if it works with Better Living through Chems as singular mod next.
If you're familiar with FOEdit, you might be able to resolve the problem that way, by patching some plugins together. I only know that it might be helpful, saw some tutorials but didn't get half of it, so don't ask me how that works exactly^^.

The withdrawal kicks in too quickly....as soon as my cigarette is finished, bang withdrawal...needs a delay of a few hours, but i doubt anyone is even working on this anymore! lol

Wish there is some hotkey that would start an animation for smoking when you sit in a bar, animation from usable cigarettes or the vanila smoking animation would do just fine, but with usable cigarettes it lasts for like 10 sec and its not done really well. If someone could make an animation for this mod and to bind a key for activating animation when you want it would be great.

For anyone who is curious/confused about installing "Light Up And Smoke Those Cigarettes" and "Better Living Through Chems" together, here's what works for me so far:
1.Download "Light Up And Smoke Those Cigarettes" Version 2c
Note: With the method I'm going to write, you don't need the Optional "BLTC Patch for Version 2c" in order to make my method work with Better Living Through Chems. As for the Optional "FWE Patch for Version 2c", I don't know if you'll still need it since I don't use FWE.
2.Download the "Light Up and Smoke Those Cigarettes UPDATE" Version 3.0 from JoseSnake.
Note: I have NOT tried the Optional "LUSTC Rework" plugin since I have no idea what it ACTUALLY does.
3.Go to "Better Living Through Chems" and download all three files.
4.Unpack the Version 2c-18947-2c.7z and add everything (meshes, sound and textures folders) to your Data folder EXCEPT the "LightUpAndSmokeThoseCigarettes_edisleado_fo3_scratch.esp" it's not needed
5.Unpack the Light Up and Smoke Those Cigarettes-22247-3-0.zip, add everything from it to your Data folder and overwrite anything that comes up
6.Unpack the BLTC_v030b-1745.rar and add ONLY the meshes and textures folders to your Data folder
7.Unpack the BLTC_v032-1745.rar and add the BLTC.esp to your Data folder along with any of the other plugins that you like.
8.I used FOMM to arrange my plugins and my load order is BLTS.esp, any optional BLTC plugins (BLTC No Overdosing.esp, etc) and finally LightUpAndSmokeThoseCigarettes.esp

I hope this has been helpful.
