About this mod

1950\'s Radio Space Series: Space Patrol (v2) 33 Episodes

Permissions and credits
This is the 1950's radio space series: Space Patrol
There are 33 episodes in this radio mod, approximately 28 minutes each.
The episodes are public domain collected from Zoot Radio (linked below).
There is an original Space Patrol radio mod called DramaRadio (by Greyfox - linked below). His mod had 10 episodes of the series. This mod contains 33 of the 96 episodes and was created entirely from scratch.
* Note that I have configured the mod to play them randomly.
* 6/26/2012: Major update designed to weed out inaudible episodes.

Installation
---------------
I've created the directories that should exist already in your Fallout 3 directory structure. No overwriting should be necessary. Ergo, place the SP_Comm_Relay directory in your Data/sound/songs directory, and the ESP file in the Data directory.

Uninstallation
-------------------
Delete the SP_Comm_Relay2 folder and the SP_Comm_Relay2.esp file.

Conflicts & Techy Stuff
--------------------------------
* Greyfox's mod had an issue with station bleedthrough, where his station would eventually take over most if not all other stations in the PipBoy. Many users also reported that only the first 2 episodes would play in a circular fashion. None of that is afflicting this station.
* Several users requested more episodes than the 10 available in Greyfox's station. I can only realistically input 33 episodes. I've had to randomize the playlist because the PipBoy does not retain your position upon game logout. So without randomization, you'd end up hearing the same episodes every time you loaded up the game. The stories are episodic, so the order makes no difference.
* In the downloads section, you'll notice I have the first version of the station still available for download. That one houses 57 episodes (I originally couldn't find all 96), but many of them are so inaudible that you can't follow the story (a reflection of their poor survival of the decades). So I set about remaking the station after I found a public domain site hosting all 96 episodes and cherry picked the ones that are clear enough to enjoy without straining to hear them. I was careful to name all the files I used in the G.E.C.K. so that you could have both versions of the station loaded simultaneously. The newer one appears in the PipBoy with a "." after "Comm".

Something Interesting I Noticed about the Show
-------------------------------------------------------------------
At first I thought this was just a kids show (because of the SP merchandising peppered in), but I noticed the space terminology is accurate. Also, also the choice of language seems fairly mature. When you compare it to an equivalent cartoon like Voltron, or a live action show like Power Rangers (both of whom speak in juvenile concepts and make constant space and technical terminology blunders), I either have to conclude that we demanded more of 50's children, or this was a show for the whole family to enjoy.

* Unfortunately, this repair did not work for me, so I decided to remake the station from scratch.
Njep & Wsmith8 - For inspiring me get off my butt to re-download and re-familiarize myself with the GECK.
Zoot Radio - For hosting Space Patrol and many radio classics (all 96 episodes are here).
