Description:
This mod adds a facility near Jefferson Memorial called the CR-3 Facility (there will be a mapmarker for it on your Pipboy). This facility is home to the Traveler Project, a top-secret government project from before the war. The project was centered around developing methods of teleportation through the use of portals, but the project instead resulted in gateways opened to worlds beyond...

12/21/2015 - Hey everyone! I know it's been a VERY long time since I've done anything mod related, but with the release of Fallout 4 I've been dabbling in it once again. I finally got around to checking up on this mod as a result, and was thrilled to see such support for this mod! I fully expected this mod would end up fading into obscurity shortly after I retired from modding (especially given this mod's, in my opinion, unfinished state). In fact, I've found this mod to have more than double the endorsements since I've last checked on it, with a significant portion of those coming from the past year or so!
As such, upon the release of sufficient modding tools for Fallout 4 (namely the Fallout 4 GECK), I will attempt to work on a Fallout 4 installment of the Traveler Project. Due to my time consuming studies as a graduate student, I can't make any promises just yet, but I can at least say that there may be more of the Traveler Project in the future!

7/12/12 -Have finally decided to clean the dust off this mod and continue working on it again.
12/30/11 -At long last! The Traveler Project version 2.0 is up! With this release, I'm officially moving this mod out of alpha and into beta (although I've not detected any problems on my play throughs so it might not even need to be in beta). Version 2.0 adds a new quest to gain access to the portals, a huge new expansion on to the Crossroads Facility, several new weapons to find, a couple new enemies (including a boss that's sure to... brighten... your day), and so much more! With that in mind, to get the most out of the quest, I would recommend investigating the various terminals throughout the facility get a more in-depth perspective on the backstory. Also, there are a lot more files included in this version compared to earlier ones, so if you guys come across a missing texture or sound or whatever, let me know.
11/12/11 -Ok, just so you guys know, this mod IS NOT dead or anything, I kinda went way overboard on the new update, trying new things and all, but I'm currently almost done and will be releasing it soon. Sorry for the really long wait! This update will move the mod into beta by the way.
10/8/11 -Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates to this. I'm currently designing the CR-3 Facility and it's turning out to be MUCH bigger than planned. It will include everything from a new quest, to new weapons and items, new enemies, new areas to explore, and more!
9/20/11 -Decided to upload a teaser image for you guys, just so you know that I AM making progress, lol!
9/13/11 -I'm gonna start working on the CR-3 facility. It will include a lot more rooms and interiors along with a new quest with access to the portal room being one of the rewards. I'll also place terminals through out the facility to reveal more of the backstory behind the facility.
9/11/11 -Released a new update with some fixes and a new Ice Gun mesh. Enjoy!
9/5/11 -Thanks to RiftRipper, the mesh for the Ice Gun's used ice shard "casings" was found to be missing. I have since uploaded a hotfix to fix this.
9/3/11 -Finally, my expermentation with weapons has actually produced results! Anyway, I'm adding a small update which includes a gun that fires spears of ice into your enemies! To take advantage of the rapid semi fire ability, you need to have FOSE installed.
8/28/11 -Currently experimenting with adding weapons to the game, so hopefully the next update may include some new weapons for you guys to have fun with! *crosses fingers*

Known Bugs:
The water in the cavern in Unknown World 1 sometimes flickers in and out of existance. Hopefully I can figure out how to fix this in the future.
Also, I've had a report that some aspects of Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch caused crashes when entering the different worlds. There has only been one reported case of this though, so just be on the lookout if you're using UF3P.
