Description

Grave proudly brings you the very first sexually transmitted disease in the Capital Wasteland!
If you've ever traversed the inhospitable Southwest Wastelands and visited Needles, California (just a few clicks south from the glowing remains of Las Vegas), you know how important it is to steer clear from 3-legged prostitutes! They leave you feeling... unclean.
Well, the Capital Wasteland is no different! Statistics show that 1 in 4 humanoids in Post-Apocalyptia are infected with Wasteland Herpes.
While there is no cure for Wasteland Herpes, there is medication you can take to suppress it's ill effects! Simply visit any doctor in the wastes, they usually carry a pre-war over-the-counter medication called "Herp-Eeze" that will grant temporary relief from the dreaded effects of Wasteland Herpes.
The moral of this story, CHILDREN, is... never sleep with hookers!

Now to the technical stuff:
This is a modified version of Luchaire's "Nova Interaction Revised" (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1337).
When you have sex with Nova, you end up catching Wasteland Herpes off of her. Wasteland Herpes are treated like any other addiction in the game. It will affect your Luck, at a -2 penalty (think about it... if you got herpes, would YOU feel lucky?).
The good news is... Wasteland Herpes grants the inflicted with a slight resistance to radiation, equivalent to a dose of Rad-X pills. It was the only "beneficial" reason I could come up with to willingly catch a nasty STD.
There is no in-game cure (save a console cheat) for Wasteland Herpes. To neutralize it's effects, you must take a dose of Herp-Eeze medication, which will give you +2 Luck and -25 Radiation Resistance. The Herp-Eeze medication will last 6 hours of real-life time. I did it this way so that it doesn't become a major annoyance by popping pills every few minutes, like you do with Mentats, etc.
NOTE: Taking a dose of Herp-Eeze when you don't have Wasteland Herpes will yield no beneficial results... as it's scripted to only take effect only if you're inflicted with Wasteland Herpes. This prevents the player from gaining all the benefits of the medicine while not having the disease... sorry. :)
Install
=======
1. Simply open up the Zip file and put the WastelandHerpes.esp file into your DATA directory.
2. Then select the ESP file either through Data Files or through FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager).
Uninstall
=========
1. Start Fallout Launcher (or FOMM), click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.
Incompatibility
===============
As long as you don't have a mod that modifies the script when Nova takes you up into the spare room, or the "100" Medical Leveled Loot list.
Known Issues or Bugs
====================
None that I'm aware of.
