~ Description:

This Plug-in modifies the Spread of all Weapons, making them much more accurate than the original game.

Now, I DO understand the lore of the game...
Weapons are hard to come by, quality parts are increasingly rare and expensive.
But at later stages in the game, when you're Repair Skill nears 100, I expect a fully repaired weapon to fire with much greater accuracy than what is the Standard.

To make these changes, I converted all Weapons Spreads (excluding wide dispersal weapons).
The original Maximum Spread has been converted to the original Minimum.
The New Minimum Spread staggers; no two "Standard" weapons have the same Minimum Spread.

There are a few other things I griped about to myself and decided to make adjustments to.
More on those mods further down the page.

~ Instalation:

Download & Extract the Archive (It is compressed with 7-Zip).
Move the Data File (.ESP) to your Fallout 3 Data Folder {(DIRECTORY)/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3/Data}.
Open your FO3 Launcher & select this Data File.
Play your game as normal.

~ Additional adjustments have also been made.

Companions:

I modified ALL Companion Weapons according to the Standard Game AND these new Spread figures.
All Follower's Weapon's Magazine Capacities, Rates of Fire & Damage Ratings have been adjusted to the Standard Weapon figures.

Magazine Capacities:

I modified all Assault Rifles & Sub-Machine Guns to 30 Round Magazines.
(Regarding Military Weapons: 30 Round Mags are fairly standard in most countries.)

I adjusted the Sniper Rifle to carry 10 Rounds in one Mag.
Following that, the Reservist Rifle now carries 15 Rounds/Mag,
And the Victory Rifle now carries 20 Rounds/Mag.
(I can't imagine a .308 Military Sniper Rifle carrying less than 10 rounds/Mag.)

This creates a bit more incentive to collect the Unique variant Sniper Rifles.

I also increased Ol' Painless' Magazine Capacity to 7 rounds.
(It is not uncommon to find real-world Hunting Rifles with expanded magazine capacities than the game Standard of 5.)

All Sawed-Off Shotguns now use two Rounds per discharge instead of just one.
And instead of projecting 9 rounds of buck-shot per discharge, they disperse 18 rounds (9 rounds/barrel).
I cut the Damage down to half of what it was to compensate for more loads leaving the barrel.

ALL wide dispersal weapons (Shotguns, Protectron's Gaze, Experimental MIRV, etc.) have the same Spread as the Standard Game,
I did NOT adjust them.

Assault Rifle vs. Chinese Assault Rifle...

In modern history, interesting dynamics emerge when comparing the AK-47 and the M-16 (Yes, I know the in-game Assault Rifle is NOT an M-16, thank you very much).
The AK-47 has been renouned for its durability & the stopping power of its standard cartridge.
The drawback to the weapon has been that its Rate of Fire is less than the M-16.
It is also known to be less accurate than the M-16.

In light of these facts, I adjusted the Standard Assault Rifle by increasing its rate of fire.
I also increased its Health a bit to compensate for the additional Rate of Fire.
In the original game, both Assault Rifles had the same accuracy/spread.
The Assault Rifle now slightly more accurate than the Chinese Assault Rifle.

During in-game scenarios, I did this to create more of a question about which weapon to work with;
A weapon that does slightly less damage with greater accuracy and a higher rate of fire (Assault Rifle),
Or a weapon that does more damage and is more durable than its counterpart (Chinese Assault Rifle).

All of these modifications are intended to make the weapons more world realistic.
Remember, this mod affects ALL standard weapons in the game...
This doesn't just benefit you, but your enemies as well.
