About this mod

Adds four new (balanced) weapons to Merchants and some enemies : Rotary Auto-cannon, Fanchette Cannon, Scatter Pistol, Napalm Gun. These guns use existing ammo types.

This weapons pack adds four new weapons to the game - they will show up on some merchants (if they typically carry weapons) and some enemies (super mutants, raiders, talon mercs). The weapons in this pack can be repaired with a variety of materials.
I believe they are fairly well balanced, as I tried to er on the side of caution.

Because I hate it when mods have a laundry list of requirements and compatibility issues, this weapons packs uses existing ammunition types, and no custom models / effects. It's just an .esp file that you turn on, and it works. No fiddling with scripts or putting model files in the right folder. It should work with any other mod, and not cause trouble.

The weapons, with their pros and cons. (the = are neutral)

Rotary Autocannon - A man-portable autocannon that fires explosive shells.

+ Devastating against large groups of weak enemies
+ Slower firing rate makes efficient use of ammo
+ Firing sound is a deep, booming report, it sounds the part! :)
+ Good accuracy and range make it well suited for outdoor fights
= Uses Mini-gun model
= Uses .308 ammunition
- Explosive ammunition makes fights with melee enemies risky - you may hurt yourself
- The mini-gun is a better choice for fighting room-to-room indoors
- .308 ammunition is expensive


Flechette Cannon - A heavy weapon that fires a wall of deadly projectiles

+ Excellent stopping power at close range
+ Effective out to medium range
+ Good against groups of enemies or single large targets
+ Massive amount of projectiles look cool
= Uses missile launcher model
= Uses missiles as ammunition (Think of the missiles as canister shot)
- Missiles are expensive
- Long reload time may leave you vulnerable


Napalm Gun - A rifle-type weapon that fires several blobs of burning napalm

+ An incredibly fun weapon, you really should download this mod, if only to try out the Napalm Gun
+ Flamer fuel is cheap
+ Gives you a way to ignite enemies at much longer range than the Flamer
+ Fires several burning blobs of napalm, increases the odds of a hit and ignition
+ Gas explosion sound effect makes for a very fitting firing-sound
= Uses the Railway Rifle model (all the hoses and pressure gauges are very fitting!)
= Uses Flamer Fuel
- Takes several units of flamer fuel per shot
- A significant portion of the weapons damage is the burning effect, which takes a few seconds to add up. May not be the best weapon if the enemy has to die right-that-second (Mutant about to pulp your head with a sledgehammer...)
- Spreading blobs of burning napalm may hit friendlies


Scatter Pistol - A heavy pistol that fires shotgun shells

+ A light-weight alternative to the Combat Shotgun
+ An excellent back-up weapon, especially for sniper-type characters
+ Can fire off its clip of five shots fairly quick
= Uses the .32 pistol model
= Uses shotgun shells
- Wide spread limits its range
- Not quite as powerful as the Combat Shotgun



Installation- Put the .esp file in your Fallout 3 data folder, enable the .esp when you launch the game

Uninstall - Delete the .esp file

Compatibility - This mod does not use any custom assets (models, sounds, ect.) and it does not modify any existing game assets, only adds things. It should work and play nicely with any other mod.

I hope you like these weapon, instead of just making "yet another assault rifle" I tried to think of roles that no weapon currently fills. Enjoy! :)
