This small mod greatly decreases the view distances in the vanilla climates, since fallout 3 lacks settings to adjust view distance. It comes in two versions; The first decreases view distance by a very large amount, as seen in the unlabelled screenshots, don't worry snipers are still just as useful. The second version does not have as much of an effect, though it is still noticable, as you have about 3-5 times less view distance then you would with default settings. Also, this is the way I see it, and another reason I created the mod, is that after a bajillion nukes got dropped all over the world, I would think that the skies wouldn't really be clear, because the dry climate would cause massive dust storms, so now with this mod you will see that the wasteland has a very ominous feeling to it, rather then having bright blue happy skies when you look up with rabid mutated animals and torn landscape when you look down, and lastly I just like the fact that now when I see npc's they see me and there isn't this akward feeling I get when I shoot at npc's in the far distance and repeatedly miss, I'm sorry maybe I will fully address that issue in another mod, but for right now I hope this helps for all you people who don't like the horrid blocky textures in the background when you run FO3 on a lesser PC such as I do, or just like that feeling it gives.


Version 2 is now up, which is simply a toned down version of the first one. View distance has been decreased to a certain extent, and you will still be able to notice it, but this version gives you 3-4x more view distance than the first one.



PLEASE NOTE: Both versions of this mod have been updated, so that they only change the view distance. People were complaining about the mod changing other game values, this problem has been fixed.
