You can hire him for free any time after the completion of the Galaxy News Radio quest. Simply talk to him and select the 'I could use some help out there' topic.


INSTALLATION---------------------------------------------------------------


Add the Knight Finley Follower.esp and the 'sounds' folder to your Fallout\Data folder. To uninstall, simply remove the Knight Finley Companion.esp and delete the folder 'Fallout 3\Data\sound\Voice\Knight Finley Companion.esp'.


FEATURES-------------------------------------------------------------------


-Knight Finley does not count towards your Follower total, so you can hire him regardless of your Follower Count.

-Sandbox package for the wait command if unarmed. Guard package for wait command if armed.

-Trade Menu enabled. Switch out armor for clothing in casual environments, or have him carry your loot when exploring.

-Alternating commands including:
-weapons: out / away.
-Follow Distance: short / medium / long.
-Combat Style: Melee / Ranged.
-Essential On / Off.
-Add / Remove Unlimited Ammo Laser Rifle.

-Home Menu. Reassign Knight Finley's Home to anywhere, or change it back to GNR. You can fire Knight Finley and he will return to either GNR, or a new location if assigned and wait for you. At GNR, he will patrol with the other knights. If his home is changed and he is fired, he will act more casually when he gets home; eating, sleeping, etc.

-Initial release for beta testing. Fully voiced. Several bugs, all are graffic.



KNOWN BUGS------------------------------------------------------------------

-When first hiring, he runs through the 'weapon ready' animation, even though already armed once or twice. Does not affect gameplay.

--The weird bug that seems to be in a lot of companion mods, where the NPC will wear their weapon on the back of their hand and fight using unarmed combat animation. This rarely happens with knight Finley.An in-game fix for this problem if it does occur is to use the 'lets trade' option, and then simply exit the trade screen. This seems to reset the correct animation.


FUTURE RELEASES------------------------------------------------------------

No longer prototype, real live MOD. I plan only small edits, mostly minor details. I am still thinking about a quest, but getting further away from it.
