Sorry not very good screen shots, but it does show how much stuff the V02 will remove. It dosen't really make the interior's darker, the lose of the Light Beams is by far the most dramatic. I haven't checked with Fraps but I would guess the FPS improvement with V02 in particular would be pretty good.
I prefer the original version myself, but if you are after better FPS the V01 and V02 are going to help far more.
Very useful little mod. Works as it says and it's helping my archeological 7600GT videocard with increased FPS in interiors certainly, and that's important for low-end PCs and people who want to run older games mixed with new ones, right??

I looked at Impact Smoke and that type of thing, if I try to remove those GECK also wants to re-move Forms linked to other Impact Data. Decided it best to leave them alone as I was unsure of what problems I could be creating, sorry.
I have done two more levels as such,
1) Same as original with some of the mist's removed and the radiation dust effect's as well. that could save FPS.
2) Same as Original and Number 1 plus I removed quite a lot of the light beams,
I'm testing these myself to see what it looks like, I want to help with FPS if anyone wants them, but I don't want to lose to much of the 'feel' from the game.
Personally I like the particles and smoke that come up inside of buildings - makes firefights pretty intense. Perhaps he (or someone) could make an alternate version for those that like that too?
