You have to break into a place to get them (losing karma) or cheat them in? They are also way too overpowered. They look alright but the balancing is poor unless I'm somehow doing something wrong.
People are probably going to hate me for saying this: this doesn't really fit in with fallout lore that much since the m series of weapons was discontinued in the early 21st century and replaced with the r series
easily one of the best weapon mods ive downloaded, just a suggestion, if it were compatible with RH ironsights (for m16s without optics), and if you could fire grenades from the grenade launcher, it would be a really awesome weapon mod
the weapons could still exist. they don't just disappear when a series gets discontinued. also with the advancements of technology at the time it wouldn't be a surprise if the weapons were built sooner then they actually did. but I agree... still downloading
This game is an uchronia. The current era didn't happen in the Fallout universe. People have been hiding in the vaults from the nuclear war and the fallout since the 1950s.
Nah dude, if you've played New Vegas you'll see there's a ton of M4/M16 variants, an MP5 and a bunch of M79 grenade launchers. It's totally plausible that M16s like the ones in this mod could still be around.

The Great War actually happened in 2077. The reality of it is that we never had an information age because we apparently mastered cold fusion so the need to consolidate things to reduce power was never an issue. Personally I learned to use a M4A1 so this seems plausible. Furthermore many companies have adopted the M16/AR15 look to their rifles to make them more appealing.
For everyone who asked, I'm pretty sure the armor in the images comes from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12136/? Steiner Combat Gear. Pretty sure, not 100%.
