THIS MOD HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED
====================================================
Sorry folks, but the FO3 engine is just *too* broken. I've spent so much time juggling its aberrant idiosynchrasies that I've burned myself out. Maybe Fallout New Vegas will convince me to start modding again, maybe not - in the meantime, this mod is released in the public domain, do with it whatever you like, no credit needed (altough it would feel nice).

Molotov V2 nearly done

Inludes flaming bottles, setting the room on fire with a flamer, enemies fainting from the pain, nicer visuals, and more !
Check the pictures for teasers... And track this file if you're interested :)

Description
===========
This mod adds a CRAFT-able Molotov cocktail with semi-realistic behaviour to the game. On impact, it spreads a field of fire that burns for 20 seconds. Anyone crossing it will take severe damage, and keep burning for a while.

Requirements
============
Fallout 3 Patch 1.7
-> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8216
CRAFT
-> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4447

Location
========
No item is added ingame, the only way to get molotovs is to build them yourself. You'll automatically receive a schematic once you reach 20 in Explosive skill.

Details
=======
The fire will spread naturally, following the ground, being blocked by obstacles - shoot at the ceiling, and the flames will rain down.

Building a Molotov requires :
1 Empty Soda Bottle or Nuka-Cola Bottle
3 Flamer Fuel or Turpentine
1 Abraxo Cleaner or Box of Detergent

I've tried my best to keep this mod FPS-friendly. Still, the large amount of particles needed to simulate fire means low-end machines may suffer lag or stuttering, especially if you go crazy and throw dozens of mollies all over the place.

Anyone entering the fire will start to burn, turn hostile, and give XP on death.

May be under-powered. Tell me what you think.

Install
=======
1. Extract the files to (install folder)\Fallout 3\Data\
2. Start Fallout 3 Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the F3RWPMolotovCocktail_0_1.esp file(s).

Uninstall
=========
1. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod :
Fallout 3\Data\Meshes\F3RWPMolotovCocktail_0_1.esp
Fallout 3\Data\Meshes\F3R

Incompatibility
===============
None known.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
The flames sometimes refuses to go out as they should. This is only cosmetic (they don't burn anymore), and temporary - enter any building, or leave the cell, and they will disappear. I suspect a bug in the engine.

The model used is the one created by Bethesda. It's ugly. Very very ugly. I'd rather use Uncanny_Valley's one (see Credits), but it causes CTDs. If anyone can fix his model, I will gladly incorporate it in this mod and list you as co-author.

Sometimes flames spawn in mid-air. I haven't found the exact, precise settings that will prevent this yet. If you're a modder, feel free to experiment with the globals (prefixed 'F3R').
