About this mod

Cross is no longer a Paladin of the Brotherhood of Steel. There was something odd about her behavior recently, and she could not fulfill her duties to the Brotherhood anymore. So she left the Citadel to begin a new life in the Wasteland. Her first stop was Tenpenny Tower, where she met the child of James, the scientist she once escorted to Megaton.

<features><br><br>- Cross lives in Tenpenny Tower Lobby<br>- No Karma checks to hire/re-hire her<br>- She will return to Tenpenny Tower Lobby when you dismiss her<br>- Tweaked dialogue, she doesnt mention the BoS or dead James anymore<br>- Tweaked idle chat, no more remarks about your evil deeds<br>- She now wears a leather armor (which you can take to give her any other armor)<br>- Her ranged weapon is now a laser rifle (unlimited ammo, unplayable)<br>- Changed her combat behavior to be less suicidal<br>- She has some drugs and alcohol in her inventory, to resemble her background<br>- Choose between normal look and messy look (longer hair and stoned face)<br> <br><br><installation><br><br>Unpack the Data folder into your Fallout3 folder.<br>Start FOMM or FO3 launcher and check ExPaladinCross.esp<br>OR check ExPaladinCrossWasted.esp if you want her look to change,<br>only load ONE of these files.<br><br><uninstallation><br><br>Uncheck and delete ExPaladinCross.esp and ExPaladinCrossWasted.esp<br>Delete all files in \Data\Sound\Voice\fallout3.esp\femaleadult01default<br><br><br><issues other info><br><br>This mod will likely conflict with other mods that change Star Paladin Cross.<br>If you change her look with another mod, you will also change her inventory.<br><br>It's mainly intended for people using "Alternate Start - Roleplayers"<br>or similar mods that change/disable the main quest. Without access to the<br>Citadel you could not hire Cross at all, now it's possible to hire her anytime.<br>However, i played the whole MQ with her following me to see if it works:<br><br>- Cross will follow you anywhere, but sometimes you have to wait 1h<br> when entering or leaving certain areas, for example the Citadel<br>- She will wait for you besides the tranquility pod in Vault 112<br>- She won't auto-fire herself when entering Vault 87, but will return to Tenpenny<br> Tower after you have been captured by the Enclave (sorry, no message for that).<br> You may have to wait a while for her to appear.
