About this image
Quite often, when I game, I have the unfortunate habit of playing one too much, thus burning out a bit. This is especially true with open world games. All too frequently.. I'll then leave that game alone for a long time, and then I end up restarting, because I can't recall anything, and/or I'm having trouble immersing myself in that character. Thus...the cycle begins all over again. I'm trying to break that pattern.. so I have devised a grab jar, where I've scribbled the names of the various titles I play onto small scraps of paper, and then I blindly reach in... and I play my random selection whenever I game that day.
Today's "choice" was Fallout 3... which is ironic, because I didn't actually burnout on that one, instead I semi - "rage quit" because I found the resolution (or lack thereof) to the Blood Ties quest entirely unsatisfying. :P
Anyway... Here are a couple of shots :D

*Gets goose bumps
As to setup.. I'm very happy with my load order and such, as well... but I do find FO3 a little hard to get into on occasion, simply because I often find the dialogue (or lack thereof) infuriating. Though, I did just install a dialogue overhaul, so maybe that will help.
Thanks ! It's been a slow journey getting FO3 to look the way I want it to; I feel it doesn't polish up as easily as FNV, or Morrowind, so it's been a challenge (though.... that could also be personal bias speaking ).
The thing is, though, what this means, for me, is that I rarely end up "finishing" games. I mean, despite all of the hours I've put into them, I have yet to see the main story endings of FO3, FNV and FO4.
Though, I did decide, some time ago, to not restart any of these games (and except FO4, which I had to reinstall), I've essentially managed to stick to that. Part of why I devised this new system, however, is to further help me in sticking to that.
Usually, I avoid excessively modding a game until I've finished the main story... but I've somewhat broken that rule with the Fallouts. At least, though, I haven't installed any mods that really impact the main story, or any of the big quest chains.
That's a pretty good quality image for Fallout 3.
Thank you very much I've decided I really quite like URWLENB, it makes a world of difference to the game graphics. The retextures, and foliage mods help as well, of course, but I've found that weather and lighting are absolutely key, and often more important than anything else.
